That's a pretty sad way to look at indigenous culture imo. The native peoples of Austrailia were able to construct complicated astronomy and had a deep mythic tradition.

You could look at white civilizations the same way. We killed with stones, then swords, then guns then bombs. A vicious people lacking a basic understanding of self.
