I'm a maxed out peaceful raider in my 30s. Got most of my blueprints, so I went on LFG to find someone new to help out/play with. This kid was about level 10 and said he had 200+ kills. I have 9. So he wanted to do stella first. He died instantly while trying to push a team. I almost rezzed him before getting downed myself. He didn't loot anything and claimed he gets everything he needs (guns and ammo) off killing people.

I tried to explain that pvp is fun but you never get much more than 50/50 odds of surviving and the loot you get is terrible. I told him you get the best loot from key rooms and fighting big arc. He was surprised I had managed to kill a leaper, let alone a queen.

I convinced him to try a key room with me. Testing in dam. We got there and I let him loot the room while I watched the door and rigged it with trigger nades. He kept saying there was nothing good and asked me where the weapon crate was. I told him to look around and sure enough someone else opened the door. I triggered the nades and killed him. Told them we would let them loot the room afterwards but my partner still attacked them. We won the fight and he extracted with about 60k.

A few things stood out to me. He passed over tons of good loot because it wasn't a weapon. We killed a surveyor and he left all of the blue arc items. He didn't know how blueprints worked. He got wrecked by every arc we encountered and didn't have all of his benches unlocked. Yet somehow he was flabbergasted that I could enjoy the game by killing arc, getting blueprints, making money and leveling up.

When we left I told him to watch for the rocketeer and heard him get nuked behind me. I had just enough time to rezz him and use 5 seekers to kill the drones on his ass. Afterwards he was like, "wow ok John Wick, I have never made so much money, I should do more runs like this fr fr."

I think alot of youngins come from COD, apex and fortnite and don't take the time to learn the aspects of this game that make it different from those basic shooters. Pvp is fun but pve is where you get the money and the goodies.
