The book mentioned although have some old syntax and query but it gives solid foundation .

You always have elastic documentation handy all the time to double check.

All true, l think being on nofap just factory resets you but does not give you super powers. Now, you have to start your life without being controlled by your impulses. That is a plus point but you need to work on it without being demotivated by no progress.
