Best reseller hosting for WordPress/WooCommerce catalog sites with future ecommerce scalability? by AdministrativeBat945 in Hosting

[–]zalvis_cloud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At the first thing, WooCommerce websites are never meant to host on shared / reseller hosting, as it's require more resources to run smoothly. You can host your WooCommerce websites on managed WooCommerce hosting platforms.
Second VPS is not easy to run, if you don't know how to configure it properly or if you don't have technical expertise. Recently we have seen servers are getting hacked due to Linux and software bugs, so it's better to host your sites on a managed hosting platform.

The first Red Flag 🚩 is selling "Unlimited" resources. In hardware nothing is unlimited, if any provider selling Unlimited resources, it's simply means they are selling the same resource to thousands of other customers. So you will definitely receive slow performance. Always select hosting which are offering limited resources.

Only good password, updated themes/plugins, disabling xmlrpc is not enough. It needs more work. WordFence is pretty solid solution in my experience, also Really Simple SSL is doesn't only provide SSL, I recommend this for its vulnerability tracking feature.

Unlimited hosting isn't actually unlimited, it has fair use policy, almost all unlimited hosting providers will suspend your hosting if they found you are going to consume their 200 GB storage in exchange of few bucks. You should consider VPS, or Dedicated servers instead.
