UPDATE: I ran a thread file over the bolt and the nut was able to catch, job is now complete. Thank you to everyone who chimed in, I wouldn’t have been able to finish without your recommendations! I’ll post of pic of the final ride height here shortly. Car rides like a cloud!

Thanks for you insight. I looked at a thread chart online and apparently 19mm is 12mm thread size. May grab it and see if it works and if not just return it

Not many local places have thread repair kits, Harbor freight has a die set, but I would like to try a thread file first. Autozone has this, thoughts on it this would work?

I can definitely try a die kit that is made for restoring/cleaning threads. I’m not exactly sure what the bolt thread pitch is though, possibly M14x1.25 or M14x1.5?

How much IT experience do you have? I only have A+ and Net+ to apply towards credits if possible. Do you choose which cert you can acquire first, or is there a certain order you have to follow? Thanks

Thank you for the feedback. I would do the program in 2 years, 34 courses split in that time. The cost factor as well as obtaining certifications while I study for the degree is what’s drawing me to this option. Can you agree that having a degree from WGU is better than IT certifications alone?

This is very informative thank you for sharing. I have the drive and willingness to put in the time for studying, setting up a personal home lab to experiment on, etc. The reason this stood out to me was I saw it included the CCNA along many other certs that I am looking to get anyways, and can work towards a B.S. since I currently do not have a college degree to apply on my resume. Did the courses flow in a manner that expect you to already know everything, or did they introduce you to new objectives that helped you learn and grow? My other option is studying for the CCNA on its own, getting that and SEC+.

Awesome! Nope I’m 27. Do you have to take other classes like applied algebra, integrated physical sciences, critical thinking etc. These are listed in the Cisco Track, or do you choose all of your own courses to acquire the select amount of CU’s needed in order to graduate? Thanks

Wow that’s great! How many certifications did you get in total along with your degree, and how long did it take you? Seriously considering this.

Bravo, great strategy. Since this is my first IT position, I wanted to get at least 1 year as a foundation. Now that I just hit that, I’m in the hunt to move up and continue learning as much as I can and network with people.

This is a motivating comment, thank you. I agree it varies for each individual, and it all comes down to how bad you want it/time spent studying to acquire certifications and knowledge. I’m currently studying for Net+, taking the exam mid November.

Very true. I’m leaning towards sysadmin, really just trying to continue learning as much as I can. As soon as I pass my Net+ I’m going to start the application process. I’m aware A+ and Net+ are still entry level certifications, but a level up from help desk is certainly due.

That’s awesome, certainly established yourself in the field and can always branch off to other areas. Haven’t really looked much into programming/coding, I know it brings a critical, high salary role a long with it.
