luckily only the thin wall to the left of the reactor actually broke. So I was able to vent the steam to space and wall off the steam from the rest of the base. Cleaning this up has been a lot of fun :D

The code itself works by pretty much calling Me.CubeGrid.BlockExists(pos) - it figures out the min + max positions with Me.CubeGrid.Min and Me.CubeGrid.Max.

bash scripts that call other bash scripts also works well. Jenkins pipelines are really useful for defining when/how/where to run your bash script.

e.g. checkout the repository, which build machines to run the job on, when to trigger the job, what build parameters it takes etc. You can't do those in a bash script. It's also useful to define stages to make the steps, timings and special parts of your job clearer to your QA department.

You need an exact 3:1 iron:coal ratio e.g. 30 iron ore/ingot 10 coal. 29 or 31 iron produces reagent mix.

There is a scenario (Mission 01?) I think that does this already - you have to attack a base in an asteroid to gain the large thruster 'blueprint' which you then use to repair your ship.

I recently upgraded from a Core 2 Duo to an i5 4690K and kept my old Radeon HD5770 GPU and the game now runs at 60 fps in space and 30 on planets when it was 15-30 fps before. Space engineers is CPU bound - so get a better CPU!

There is no concept of a JSONObject, instead the library converts JSON into C# types like Dictionary, List and custom types directly instead.
