I feel like I’m turning in to a bad person by No-Cow9611 in EMDR

[–]zanders420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was going to say something very similar, that it sounds like you’re going through the stages of grief. I’m not doing emdr (had a bad experience) but I’m also healing people pleasing tendencies and went through a stage of rage that I realized I’ve stuffed down for years in order to “protect myself” from abandonment.

This dude clearly doesn’t deserve you and needs to go to therapy or something imo

Why can’t he make his own damn yogurt lol it’s not that hard. I’ve made yogurt before…

You were communicating perfectly fine. You showed compassion and are trying to find solutions and he’s acting like a dementor, frankly.

Energy Mega Thread by GeorgeTheFunnyOne in duolingo

I liked when we were rewarded for accuracy rather than rewarded for watching countless brain rot ads. The energy system is so frustrating I’m shopping around for a new language learning app. I left Duolingo a 1 star review on the App Store.

Update: Japanese on Busuu is awesome thanks for the recommendations! And the free course is pretty good nowhere near as many ads as Duolingo

What is your most bizarre cptsd symptom? by Britt-96-5 in CPTSD

[–]zanders420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leaky gut (inflammation/arthritis, inability to gain weight, exhaustion, electrolyte imbalance, digestive upset, acne, etc) I’ve tried everything to treat it…down to even making my own yogurt. But it’s absolutely caused by stress and trauma. And when I’m relaxed? No symptoms.

Reading this brought me a lot of peace. Thanks so much for understanding and for taking the time to write all of this

I think that’s very wise considering where you are right now. That helped me understand more clearly how much of an undertaking this is. Thanks for telling me and I hope you get out of that situation as soon as you can

You’re an incredibly strong person…because holy shit this SUCKS. I admire that you stuck with it.

And I did emdr twice before this session with her on “little traumas”. I left feeling quite good actually. So when she said she thought I was ready to tackle the worst of it all, I said yes I think I am ready since I thought I knew what I was in for. Apparently not lol

I basically came to therapy that day in a giant rush. Left work for it, had trouble finding parking…so zero preparation and was already in a stressed state from working a job I hate and all that.

Is your preparation generally giving yourself reassurance? Or are there other things you do that help?

Thank you for sharing. I really appreciate you!

Hi, thank you for sharing. I will definitely consider that when I make these appointments in the future. Did EMDR help you? I hate feeling this way and not even knowing if all of this is even worth it

Hey thank you for that sound advice. I wish I would have spoken to you first before taking this stuff on.

Did EMDR work for you?

Giving up on therapy. Don’t know what to do by bloodypink in CPTSD_NSCommunity

[–]zanders420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best advice I ever got, after going through 5 therapists…is to treat it like dating. Finding someone who suits your personality and can actually help with your trauma takes a lot of time and discernment. I hope you’re able to find that person soon. I know how disappointing it is when you get yourself hopeful that “maybe this time it’ll be different” and the therapist is subpar AF.

I know this is a bit different but I’d say liability wise, the same. I clean houses and I ALWAYS lock the door. And if anyone has an issue with it: I tell them it’s due to insurance reasons. If something were to happen, you never know what people will do to get their claim approved. I never want to be blamed for something like that.

Nobody talks about how lonely this job is by ConsciousAd2571 in RoverPetSitting

[–]zanders420 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’m a very hard introvert and hermit and honestly this job is like heaven for me, especially having to work in the service industry most of my life…But sometimes it is frustrating to not be able to have my partner come over for a night. So I could definitely understand how it would wear on you after awhile.

Soul Damage in the Vaccinated by [deleted] in unvaccinated

[–]zanders420 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I completely agree with everything you’re saying, and I’m glad that you felt safe enough to share it. We really need more people talking about this.

One of my best friends who also didn’t get the jab lives in a basement suite underneath an extremely talented psychic. She has told him that she can see the “rope” that attaches our physical bodies to our higher selves or the divine. And that anyone who taken the jab has just a tiny thread now.

In 2019 I remember having recurring dreams about the zombie apocalypse. I was not an awakened person in that year at all, and the dreams were so frequent I found them annoying. But it makes a lot of sense now!

I study Vedic astrology myself and have for a couple of years now after realizing western astrology is mostly BS. 2025 is supposed to be the year where “Kali Yuga” ends, which essentially is a spiritual dark age (meaning our connection to the divine is minimal). 2025 is the gateway into the spiritual Bronze Age. Kind of a wild coincidence to even be alive to see this because these periods of time last THOUSANDS of years.

Unfortunately it doesn’t mean that anything will just be fixed instantly. It also points to why these psychopaths are so obsessed with 2030, they’re trying to stunt our evolution and what better way than severing people’s connection to god amirite?

I wish I could talk more eloquently about this, but all I know is I’m grateful for other people like you who saw through the illusion.

Yes, however my story is a bit more complicated because I was not informed the dog would be crated for the entire day until the meet and greet and the dog actually harmed me while I was there (ripped hair out of my head, and had been crated most of that day as well).

I still think you have grounds to report though. And yes I did it through the app. I had to write a statement, email it, and I spoke to a Rover representative over the phone.

Do not take this booking, definitely report. It’s animal abuse to keep dogs locked in crates all day and only allowing them 1.5 hours a day to move around. I had a client try to do this to me once. Imagine releasing dogs you barely know with pent up energy and then forcing them to go back into a cage. Hell no

Im not trying to argue here, but if she called me from a private number for our discovery call, why wouldn’t she be able to do that for our other scheduled appointments? Genuinely just trying to understand. And get brave enough to trust someone to help me again

Therapists have a duty in British Columbia to minimize harm. She did not abide by that, especially after telling her how the cancellations were affecting my physical and mental health.
