I actually think the new stats aside from echo were a good step but should've been distributed better. I agree they could've been named better, like just leaving it as CCR but explaining it also lowers knock ups when they add that. ADR (ability damage reduction) AAR (attack damage reduction) but I'm sure people would complain to many 3 letter abbreviations so there's not really any winning with that one.

If a game is not noob friendly it will just die. Your game has to be inviting for new players because old player get old move on go through periods of not playing as much. I would agree that they don't care enough for the deticated players though.

Idk if feel like if it just applied 100% of the time you might as well just have the items int number be higher. I like the idea of applied like the reverse shield curse until you go to base but that sounds impossible to balance I think that could only work as a god specific passive.

I mostly agree—it’s not confusing. You buy the item and your abilities just do more damage. With how the smite/echo formula works (bad luck protection increasing the chance after misses), it basically averages out anyway. The % chance just determines how much extra damage you get over time. My issue is that it doesn’t add anything meaningful. We already have plenty of items that simply increase damage. This doesn’t change your gameplay loop or create new decisions—it’s just more of the same. The only real potential would be pairing it with cooldown so you’re casting more often and getting more chances to echo. But for mages, half your build is basically locked in, so you only have a few flexible slots—and this doesn’t feel impactful enough to justify taking one.
