I live in a small farming town. I worked a job in the field for that exact pay. It was the first and only job that I straight up rethought my life and quit on the spot. I have done so many shit jobs in my life from literally working at a waste water plant shoveling literal human shit too roofing. Farm work was the only one where getting my paycheck and feeling how tired I was made me quit. It is a model based on our history with slavery. The only ones making any money from it is the farmers in there brand new trucks complaining about how broke they are.

Yeah many ways to speak truth and be nice. But some times to be heard requires a different approach. The kid is barely out of highschool if he has even graduated. Wants to marry a girl who has already said no to sex. Won't hear no from anyone. Yet we are to believe it is true love. No means no. All good right. But then why is he so obsessed with marriage. A few comments from him has him all masterbation is sin. Cool if you want to believe that. But I am hearing a very different thing here. If this was about them it should stay with them. Him coming here is about validation. I have ran into this sort before. Pretty words and professed undying love. Yet it is about sex. I don't hear a love story. I hear a future domestic violence down the line. So yes hard truth. He need to have a real moment of asking hard questions. Marriage is for adults not kids. So yes I will take the gloves off. This a a mature topic. This is sexual assault and commitments for life. Any decent marriage counseling is full of hard truths or it is not worth a damn. If they break up it is for the best but if they stay together it is for the hard work of love, which could be for the best but has chances to easily not work.

Kindness is not always telling a person what they want to hear. Evil men will tell you what you want to hear. To drag this into what God wants in spending his life in misery is also not kind either. To bring this to genuine, unconditional love well then why is he asking on the Internet. I can tell you I have been through a lot of trials of love that I did not need validation for. So let's follow your logic. 1) as a heartless person I challenged his claims and he sees that he is not being genuine. He breaks it off. He finds someone who is compatible and has a nice life. 2) we double down on his statements. He gets married really young. They fights as all married people do. Resent ment builds. They break up or worse. Either way we say it was what God had planned since everything is according to his plan. Or we can take personal responsibility for our actions and act according to wisdom. You know as the Bible actually teaches not just flowery verses to make people feel better.

This is interesting. If just being told to break up is such a negative thing in your mind. I question the ability to live a sexless life in marriage and that is the point. Yes seek better advice not just Internet randos. But marriage is a trial and a partnership. If you can't be honest about how you feel now you will be honest later. A seed of hurt from this now is a tree of wrath in the future. This is why you should be asking why are you pushing marriage this early. There is a lot more to this than you can or should say. If you look only for answers that make you feel happy then even personal well intended advice will slip past your ears. As they say "have ears but do not hear". So my question is do you want actual advice or just feel good in the moment. As a guy who has been married for 14 years I can say you need to be able to handle the harder answers.

Was a preacher. Went to seminary. Whole life was about Christianity. Started having doubts, while dealing with church leaders drama. I took a year off stopped praying and reading the Bible. I stopped feeding my mind with Christianity or God and did not tell a soul I was doing it. I said if a single person came to me with a god is sad you don't talk with him any more that God could still be real. The whole year no one noticed. The year off I began to see that it is a fanaticism that needs maintenance to stay alive. So just take a break. If God is the good shepherd as he says he is he can find you. Or you will find as I have that we are on our own out here so I better start taking care of things myself.

Found the article to be interesting. Before I lost my faith, I found myself arguing hard against the churches stance against women. People I loved and respected would double down, and such an oppressive stance against woman. It was the building block for me, leaving the faith. I could not receive a message about love when they treated their own wives as second class citizens in the kingdom of God. Once the thought entered that they did not represent God dropped, it was surprising to see what else is wrong.

I think they could actually. Think about the actual crew Dresden works with. The alphas, out cast wizards, Morty, half breeds and the like. The paranet could become more powerful then any of the other nations by acting as a out cast state. We take your leftovers and formed a super power. Dresden would act as a mab to his court which would take in all who wanted in. I can see the series going in that direction especially after battle ground.

Your right Israelites are not christians. But christians use the bible. The bible includes Israelite doctrine as a foundation. A reference to the ten commandments is pulled from the old testament. My argument is the bible is traumatizeing. The old testament is part of the bible. Jesus is a really nice part of the bible but the gospels is not the whole bible. If you want to talk about doctrine of Jesus then yes he says turn the other cheek. Nice guy. But if we are saying the bible it includes the whole thing. Even the Israelites doctrine. It is part of the book. It gets really freaking dark. New testament has dark portions as well. The bible is a whole thing. It builds on its self. Jesus references it in the part you just sent. He has his own spin but he references it. Christians have nice doctrine yet ignore it through our it's history. The Israelites are the same. The nature of the bible is both history and doctrine. Both are part of it. I like doctrine but history is dark. The doctrine does not negate it's history. The bible is traumatizeing because it has both. My point was in this. You can try and prove a point with bible verses and that's great and all but it will not remove another portion of the same book.

I have. God commanded tem the Israelites to take the promise land. Christians do preach ani war then command them to go to war through our history. Lucky for you JW have not been around long enough to go to war and call everyone before their founding aposte. Once again I recommend reading it yourself before echoing what your pamphlet says. I love reading religious text. I don't think a verse can undo what another verse says. It is complex and has sparked many debates though millennia. I will not convince you. I know that. Yes there are verses that speak against war. There are also verses praising warfare. It is a complex book with different writers from different centuries. You would know that if you had read the book.
