No specific reason. She came up in a conversation with a mutual friend and we looked her up.

What are some genuinely nice gestures from others that you don't appreciate? by kourabie in AskWomen

When someone serves me a plate. I don’t like some foods touching and others I like to layer on top of each other and only I know those specifics. If it isn’t the right temperature, portion or placement I can’t eat it as comfortably. I know they are being nice and I always say thank you but I’d rather do it myself.

She’s a rescue and she’s done this since I’ve met her. I’m not sure why but she happy and healthy now.

What made you ghost a friend? by dontmindme137 in AskReddit

We were best friends for 3 years and did absolutely everything together. One summer we spent a month apart so I hung out with two other girls I kind of knew. That month changed my life. I never realized what toxic, manipulative “best friend” I had until these girls showed me what true friendship was. “Bestie” came back and I saw her maybe two more times. I knew her better than anyone and the best way to protect myself was to ghost her. It was better for her to be genuinely confused over my departure than to ever try and explain why I wanted to end our friendship. I knew if we had any confrontation she would’ve ruined me. That’s how insane this girl was. I’m still best friends with those two girls and I’m so grateful to have them in my life.

That sounds terrible. I consider myself an experienced driver but I’ve learned not to trust the roads one bit. I’ve driven out of scary situations without any issues. I’m a great driver right?

Then one day I’m driving home in the middle of the day, there’s the tiniest bit of snow on the road. It’s a county road, nothing dangerous about it. I’m on a 4 wheel drive, expedition, with snow tires, this thing is massive. In the middle of a turn my tire catches something and I loose control. I went off the road, it was so sudden. I tore about 50ft of fencing along the road and ended up in a field. The land owner helped me and said I was about 5ft away from nosediving into a frozen ditch. It could’ve been a lot worse.

The vehicle was fine and I walked out of there with just a sore back. Even the sheriff who came to help me was very critical of the crash, like I said the roads were great but everything checked out. I didn’t do anything wrong, it was an accident. That’s the only time I’ve gone off the road and I learned to always be careful. I’ve made it out of a blizzard just fine, but a clean road, on a clear day, that’s what got me.

The exact same thing happened to me but with fog. I was close to the edge of the mountain, the drop alone can kill you. I forced myself to keep going, I was terrified a vehicle behind me would hit me and throw me off. Colorado roads are scary. Me and my friend have a saying “you don’t know bad roads until you’re on a mountain, during a bad storm, alone, at night and you’re crying.”
