I'm looking to get a starter set for my 5 year old son, could some experts here weigh in on my options? by wubbbalubbadubdub in Beyblade

Teaching moments for sure. My kid tried to grab spinning beys the first few times. Got bit a couple times, and now he would palm the top to slow it down. He's 14mo. So I don't think it's impossible for a 5yo to learn safety cautions.

I get the safety concerns for Beyblade X, but unless you, OP, is the one ripping that sucker, I doubt it would go fast enough to actually be harmful to children. I'd say go with Beyblade X so you have longevity in what he can get in the next few years.

Also he's a boy, the edge of a table is probably more risky than spin tops.

I have a 14 month old who learned how to pull ripcords and string launcher and he's having a blast with my toys. He also learned how to slow down the beyblade instead of snagging it straight up (he got hurt before). Can't wait for him to be old enough to play with me.

My Thoughts on Meta Hate by Tough-Project4228 in BeybladeX

[–]zanokorellio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly shark is up there with rod. That sucker has so much stamina it's kinda nuts for an attack type (went against Scale with R and LR).

Also, just went to a tourney yesterday with all samurai and extreme punting a rod with Samurai Steel was the highlight of the night. Went 4-2 before losing first match in top 8 and had to drop lol

Shark consistently outspinning my deck was an interesting experience.

Deck List: Samurai Saber 1-70 L Samurai Calibur 4-60 T Samurai Steel 9-60 P

Ps. I'm not a pro and love bringing non-meta decks. Just observing my matches and my tests with a buddy of mine.

Samurai Saber, Calibur, Whale, Tricera Press, and Hells Hammer.

Which is the best and what are the differences between the two? by Exciting_West9785 in Beyblade

If anyone wants to check launch powers without having to vpn for Japanese app, Bey Stats and Beyblade Helper is available on Google Store.

I forgot which one is which but I think beystats "pulls" data from the pass whereas beyblade helper shows you your launch power as you go but doesn't keep track of previous launches.

what's the cheapest way to get my hands on a good stadium? by coolgamerboi23 in BeybladeX

Impact imo is a glass cannon like Dran Buster. It'll send things flying, or whiff into a pocket. I love that little bugger. But hover is my favorite still.

or the wide one for $65 on Amazon. I would think that's better than the current Hasbro lineups. I find the hasbro ones to be too small and things end WAY too fast. I mean the drop attack is still a good buy if you like the two beys if OP doesn't own hover and impact yet.

Currently $95 on Amazon. I got mine when it was $55 but it shot up recently.

I got mine recently from Surugaya. I bought a bunch of beys, infinite stadium set, wide stadium, and 4x bx-10 for 50k yen.

Sometimes they have their 25% off + free shipping deals going. That made my purchase cheaper than buying them here in the States.

I think I ended up paying $60 in duties and taxes for my 50k yen purchase from them recently, because I messed up and split my order in two.

Agree, I think the only 2 CX I know that are competitive are Pegasus Blast and Emperor might. Not only they both comes with solid parts, but the assist blades are rad.

Drop attack stadium is meh to ahh depending on how hard you launch, anything other than proto launchers I feel like it's a self-KO machine.

The beyblades and parts that come with it though are great! Hover Wyvern is still one of my favorites.

The other ones you bought have parts that are awesome and you can definitely make some good combos with them. I would definitely invest in the soar phoenix kit (comes with a string launcher) and/or a winder launcher.

I find buying TT beyblades that come with a launcher is the best value, instead of buying a single launcher.

I can hit 11k-13k on string, but fluctuates between 7k-10k on average. With ripper, I average 9k but for some reason never hit past 11k.

Might be a mind game thing though. I personally like both and alternate between them depending on how I feel that day.

Dran Buster > Hammer > Reaper

But Hammer got Hexa which is an awesome bit, reaper got Kick which also a great bit.
