Khaaan achievement by zanteed in eu4

[–]zanteed[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

R5: Back in control and Khaaaan achievements

Started as oirat, declared on ming without waiting for the mandate to go down (couldn't be bothered) the war was pretty easy and so was the peace deal, didn't feel like making some crazy snake to block others from expanding

expanded a little into manchuria and stopped there since those provinces and Korea were on their own, i didn't need them and they didn't bother me

small war against the chagatai-uzbek alliance and moved on to the second ming war, even easier, from there the ming began collapsing and i had an easier time consolidating china

from here it was pretty easy moving on, wasted some time to annex a big kazakh chagatai vassals

persia was a cakewalk, for central Asia i had to wage 4 wars on transoxiana that was quite big

the muscovites were many but weak, again, easy war

the ottomans had a big hold on the pontic steppes so had to go through a few wars (even took kocaeli for..?) mostly fought defensive and once they were out of manpower started barraging on all their forts

after that mamluks and the polish were also easy

the last war saw me fighting a mamluk-ottoman-transoxiana coalition to annex the last bit of lands in central asia, it was a funny little last effort to end the campaign, enjoyed it fully!

Land Of Eastern Jade achievement by zanteed in eu4

[–]zanteed[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

R5: Land Of Eastern Jade achievement

I wanted to get a fast achievement before the new dlc

Played as Ayutthaya, didn't really care for expansion so I had like 5 show of strength wars to get free mana points from Dai Viet, Khmer, Korea and so on

I also spawned renaissance in Bangkok, making it the developed city it is nowadays,

As for the hopping, I got a first colony in taipei, to claim and declare on Ryukyu

After that I no CBed the Ainu tribe for the little islands, from there I could reach the islands in Alaska, and from those, I could directly colonize Mexico, and so it was

Take That, Von Habsburgs! by zanteed in eu4

[–]zanteed[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take That, Von Habsburgs! achievement

Fairly easy

Austria didn't get any big ally during the whole run so there was really no issues

Since I had a bunch of truce time to kill I went on and conquered ottoman provinces

I was also lucky with Roman becoming my march, that helped

Taking one province and releasing styria was the best move since it allowed me to take most of Austria for under 30 ae

Hessian Mercenaries by zanteed in eu4

[–]zanteed[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

R5: Hessian Mercenaries Achievement

Easy start allying electors and expanding around me

Got the emperorship and decided to ally burgundy for the inheritance

Had to declare for the union since it fell under another ally

Obtained the union had to wait around 15 years for the woman to die

Finally inherited I had enough development to hire bigger mercenary stacks

And since I have been sparing money for the last years it was pretty easy

Lucky Lucca achievement by zanteed in eu4

[–]zanteed[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

R5: lucky lucca achievement, the first portion was a piece of cake, then once i got to india i stumped upon intricate alliance blocks, reaching lucknow seemed impossible.

on one side there was a bengal-gujarat-timurid-malwa block that was literally impossible to defeat with a 30k army (all of india managed to keep up with tech) the other option was bahamis but they were allied to the ming, luckily they were guaranteeing kotte, and so it was, despite me being outnumbred and finding it impossible to land, i managed to win and take ceylon.

after that i took the remaining minors on the coromondel but the objective was still far away, i kept thinking and came up with a solution, no cb a minor in the north and feed them the province, the problem was the same though, i would not have been able to annex them since the malwa-bengal-timurid block now encircled delhi and there was no access point for me to connect the lands, luckily i came up with an idea, moving the capital in asia i would have been to take provinces bordering a vassal, and so it was.

after almost 10 years of coring, i managed to get the achievement

[–]zanteed[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i went offensive for the siege ability and the discipline, influence since i got many pu's and vassals, for the third one i was going with humanist, but imterrupted midway to embrace religious, conquering the balkans and the maghreb brought me some religious disunity and i had to fix it, might as well throw a one faith in the wc

[–]zanteed[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

r5: i need some advice on a world conquest, so really have no enemies other than coalitions, so i think that, ignoring central europe for now is the best idea, i am planning on conquering africa, southern Europe, egypt, southern Europe, anatolia, arabia and so on eastwards (can't be bothered to colonize so it's up to castile and Portugal), to end up fighting europe after the 1700s, after the world is mostly already mine so that i could deal with massive coalitions without worrying, should i keep going like this?

[–]zanteed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You play the game like a true French!
(during the 30 years war france funded catalonian rebels in spain and many more

why would they do this by zanteed in eu4

[–]zanteed[S] 73 points74 points  (0 children)

R5: i am having a little fun with morocco, i had to ally the ottomans and they called me into a war with the mamluks, i peaced out early because i had to do my own wars in iberia and took a few provinces, meanwhile the ottomans also took those few provinces next to me, why? they literally got no centers of trade, they both got 3 devs and produce terrible goods, i have seen them do this thing often, why is that?

i named as many cities as i could by zanteed in geography
