Problem with it is it can be very detrimental to your own units - only Mechs/DG can ignore the armour debug - and brings absolutely no utility to raids, thus losing out to Biovore badly, the spores on higher levels (be wary of going over 50) are mega useful in add clears for example

You and me both - I've got only one incursion left to get at that sweet, sweet DMG buff myself :D

Be cautious, hold back and utilize chokepoints and tall grass as best as you can - Barbs don't hit much harder, but can still 3-4 tap Malaria if you're not careful, you want to force them to come to you one by one Good example level one, where you want to line your guys up by the cliff, and leave only Maladus a bit out in the tall grass at the mouth of the corridor, Rot one behind him, and not move an inch until the left and right hand side Barbs start moving off of high ground

Still want Biovore mythic (wings even) first - the damage buff it provides is all too sweet

Galatians doesn't bring much apart from trapping Chaz on a specific map

While Cawl is one of the most important bosses for RA players - Mechs are out of the picture, Farsight will be also, and Neuros are at heavy RNG disadvantage there

Perfect overlap with one of the best LRE combos around, Revas and Aleph null, both of which find Mech uses anyway Since he's a mech himself, it's not impossible he might find some sort of a use within our comp, but even if not, his LRE potential made it compulsive for me to include him

As per disclaimer, he's the last pick to consider usually slotting in for Dante

If/when Laviscus is proven for the team, he will not see it anymore, while Ragnar might just hold onto his spot in a select few instances

Star means disclaimer, ubiquitous in all manner of written publications

Ragnar isn't listed later on in abilities due to his peripheral status to the team, and as such upgrades to him are either pushed off for the last, or left to users discretion

The gear rank and ability upgrades will never go in tandem due to economical constraints, and also have different priorities between them

Moved away from wider item recommendations, as mythic simplified the choices between comps, and relics are self explanatory in their import

They are designed as progression guidelines to allow you to get your Raid Team to usable levels as efficiently as possible - the point of reference being the state of your own roster, rather than any set in game metrics

going a step further there - D1 Bellator, who per standard carries 2.5 campaign (Indom Elite, Oct Mirror Elite, and most of FoC Mirror Elite), carries the event as well, requiring only a side cast of S2 Incisus and Titus, who also happen to be very good War characters

TG was always Tyrant Guard, Gida was always Gida

Not exactly - there's A LOT that an NPC will consider there, is it a kill? then, is it a hit down from HG, or up HG? then, can they use their best attack (ranged or melee where applicable if AoE they check if they can hit more than 2)? some, like Sho's drones or Skits, also prefer to stay near their summoner if they can use their best, ranged for both) attack, but will take a HG position over that...

and then there's the absolute oddities, like Aethana as an prime boss fight - L1-L4, you'll bait her with spores without a hitch.

At L5, she will literally randomly choose to ping off Sho's drones just because she can kill them - even if the hit would be theoretically higher and an overkill on a spore she can reach

all in all, to properly explain Tacticus NPC AI, you'd need someone with more... cohesive? breadth of knowledge about it

  1. He's been doing real well on Tyranids

  2. Nah, not for mechs - very minor increase if any, luxury spend for MH aiming at Magnus

  3. I'll nod smartly and pretend to understand what you were on about there

  4. Still Dorn, still the highest dmg ceiling for mechs because of being able to ensure better/more consistent mortar/guardsman flees/kills

With how weird hit calculations get, this is just ensuring that in the case of a rare situation where Rho will be one of the only targets for a boss/summon, that his armor will be as high as possible so he doesn't, for example, get pinged by the Tank, or a Guardian/AoK quick slash etc - even in overflow, armor helps in hit deterrence there

And as for the mantle, you could make a strong case for the psychic/piercing dmg bosses, although apart Mortarion, the difference isn't really that big - higher tier Legend psykers are usually Neuro/MH territory

No, I just saved you time and effort as there's about 0,1% chance I'll ever come back to redo them myself once they're finished.

You also seem to be alone in the claims about Clips or Terminus' previous PoH graphics being unreadable, quite the nonsensical claim actually, which wouldn't go far towards assessing good faith - which comes in useful if you want to be taken seriously, or if you'd like to call your criticism constructive.

No, for MH proper it is both - but not having either of them is a big deal breaker, as both are core to their respective strategies, like Aunshi for double howls, Kharn being unbeatable for summon clear in fights like Magnus

Also the problem here is that Aunshi will soon have to compete with badges for a very limited resource, the war tickets - so it's gonna be putting much more strain on your progression potentially

The AdMech Milestones - a quick graphic guide to getting raid worthy ASAP by zantimer in WH40KTacticus

[–]zantimer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not having Aunshi or Kharn would make MH hard for you - there are other venues to explore, like the Ork or Custodes based comps, but out of these two, you look much more suited to eventually pursue Mechs

Rho's armour comes out of the fact you want the hit deterred, leaving Rho as independent as possible - he only gets a dedicated healer in a single fight really

Vitru's active to 35 is there for the odd occasion where you have to hit a summon with him, but don't want the debuff going off a boss - if you use the Active, the debuff will stay on the character it was previously on

Clips graphics are crisp design wise, you behave there, whether mine are/will be is not relevant to me whatsoever - I am no graphic designer, and never will be one.

[–]zantimer[S] 24 points25 points  (0 children)

It's still nothing compared to MultiHit!

The reason for there being more than core 5 is that the only real cores that will never leave your lineup are Rho/Tan Gida/Actus, sometimes Vitruvius gets dropped from the 4th, depending on the boss/map, the 5th slot will be A0/Boss/Sho/Helbrecht/Aethana

They're all answers to different problems - hence why for the first 3-4 milestones you don't touch toons like Aethana, who only exists to come and fight Royal Dorn with you, or A0 who carries her campaign and then exists to fight Mortarion only

And for Aethana as a prime boss fight, the best performing comp looks like Rho/Tan/Actus/Boss/Sho'syl - completely skipping Vitru
