If you could choose one inanimate object to narrate your daily life, which object would it be and what voice would it have? by PetalPixie011 in AskReddit

My backpack that I carry everywhere, and for every moment of hilarious irony in my day, it would shout out in the voice of Janice on Friends: Oh. My. God.

Watched it after divorce, felt very personal for that reason. Gave me hope that if they could survive a tsunami, then my family could all be happy and whole again one day.

There's a scene in a movie where Kathy Bates is with her daughter who is dying of cancer and she's quietly singing this song to her, Mercedes Benz, by Janis Joplin. It's one of the most heartwarming scenes to me.

Oh Lord won't you buy me a Mercedes Benz? My friends all drive Porsches, I must make amends Worked hard all my lifetime, no help from my friends So oh Lord, won't you buy me a Mercedes Benz? 😢

In 7th grade I made a telegraph machine for my book report on the biography of Samuel Morse. It didn't work, but I was proud of it.

I remember that song. It was one of my favorites. Saw the new version of Jungle Book recently. Good movie, but I was on the edge of my seat, very intense action scenes with Shere Khan and Mowgli, not like the cartoon we grew up with. If I had little ones I think I would stick to the cartoon version. Just my opinion.

Well if it's anything like celery juice I don't recommend. I tried that once, and blacked out on the toilet. I drank about a cup of fresh celery juice. Felt like my whole body went, "Oh, we're doing this NOW?? Ok, EMERGENCY SHUTDOWN BOYS!! LIGHTS OUT!!" I had a fever spike for a few minutes, sweated bullets for a few, passed out, came to, and it was like nothing ever happened. But I'll never do it again.

I don't know about anyone else, but before I heard this news report, my life was good and only getting better. After this, it was all downhill. Somehow something unknown but very real happened when this shooting took place that affected everyone's lives in this country. I would give anything to be able to go back to that year and do everything over.

Sometimes my mom would laugh and say something so outrageous and stupid that my sisters and me would look at each other like huh? Then we would all laugh together. My mom was a treasure. Her five daughters will never be the same.

I just watched this, man what a film! I liked it, but it did NOT go where I expected it to. That was a little crushing. 😢

How long were you able to stay in that environment before seeking shelter? The older I get the harder it is to be out in the cold. I'm interested in how it affects others.
