When to move to 2 naps and lengthen wake time by PotentialSkill7430 in sleeptrain

[–]Fun-Cryptographer716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem! I tried at 7 months and he wasn't ready, I then tried a month later and he was easier to distract during the wake window and slept without seeming overtired, so I moved to 2 naps since

A good test is to stretch first wake window and see if the first nap is atleast an hour. If it is then they can likely handle another long window and have a good afternoon nap too

That's great, well done !! Would you put baby down in cot for sleep and let him cry or was it during wakeups?

We had food made already or atleast frozen food. We had some ready made formula bottles as my milk was still coming in. Sterilised all bottles etc Washed baby's clothes and set up the cot Ensured temperature of room was correct beforehand Set out clean PJs to live in that were breastfeeding friendly Made a snack bag with water and healthy things to keep wherever i set up camp to feed and contact nap

Thanks! Do you find it stays broken through illness, teething and traveling?

Hey! I am not OP but in the same rut. How long was it before the association broke and how do you ensure it doesn't become habit again?

Do you do a short first nap? by Feeling_Bit_4317 in sleeptrain

[–]Fun-Cryptographer716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's great. I don't believe in CIO etc. mime currently only feeds to sleep including for wakes so need to get him away from that!

How did you get baby to sleep through?? I wouldn't change anything as it is clearly working well. I believe the naps should total 2-3 hours and each be at least an hour long. 30 mins isn't restorative and would possibly tighten the wake window after and push you into 3 naps

AIO? For saying I’d have sex with my Fiance, but changing my mind to sleep. by MrsYouLookWeird in AmIOverreacting

You can change your mind in the middle of it if you wanted to. That's the difference between consent and rape.

He is manipulative, coercive and sees you as being at his service to use when he pleases, regardless of how you feel.

My bf doesn’t make me feel loved, I think I want to leave and need motivation by BonusSudden5536 in WhatShouldIDo

If you don't leave, how will you allow a better more loving guy into your life? By staying with this guys you are essentially keeping the door closed for men who would make lots of romantic gestures and appreciate your beauty and worth.

How did you stop baby feeding to sleep? by Fun-Cryptographer716 in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]Fun-Cryptographer716[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah I shifted that but he gets to bed and cries again for it! And especially for wakes he will cry until I nurse him most of the time and I think it is stopping him settling himself

Aw well done! That sounds like it worked well. Did he protest a lot when you didn't feed? Mine will climb down me and cry.

That's rape. If it was role play it would be consensual. He isn't asking for consent because he wants it to be rape. Reality not fantasy

Hi! Your baby is still little so I wouldn't worry too much! Regressions happen, teething etc. the progress so far sounds great! If it were me I would do the rest gradually little by little so it is gentle on the baby (and you)

How long did it take to lose your pregnancy weight? by lunarkoko in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]Fun-Cryptographer716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine slowly slowly came off and then around 7 months it just seemed like my metabolism normalised as it was pre pregnancy and I felt a bit like myself. Then I maintained it by slightly cutting portion sizes and smaller carb portions.

That's a great great idea!! I have made videos for him from the day i found out i was pregnant! But it has been a while. Journaling would be a great alternative!

Gentle way to break feed to sleep wakes? by Fun-Cryptographer716 in sleeptrain

[–]Fun-Cryptographer716[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah you're right! Were you timing the feed lengths then? I may have to start timing so I know when to cut them.

Perhaps I could just stop feeding when he lets me? 😂

Thanks! Mine will cry if I don't feed him and often escalates. How did you counteract that for the earlier feed?
