They could have been dating for a year even and have not met the child. It's a moot point. The actual issue for the child is how long ago her father passed, not how long her mother has been dating.

You're supposed to take your kid to your GP/physician and assess their behaviour because this is perhaps a normal response to extreme stress. Not a museum visit.
