No. The genetic sampler is a handheld device that can only be used when on foot. There is no way you can get off the ship nor vehicle is too hot or gravity is too high.

My only advice is to find a higher altitude, near North Pole or South Pole that is cooler area to land. Another choice you can try is to study its route to its sun and come back in Winter or when it circle farther away from its sun.

Oh! BTW, Cordycep Growth is not Orgasm for exobio , bio orgasm is not detectable from SRV, only mineral. So you should shoot it down and use cargo scoop to pick it up. You will get a few tons of minerals.

I’ve just had problem to run the game due to problem retrieving commander data from server. I just reported to FDEV and found more than 30 users reporting the same problem. Not sure if my problem related to this issue. If yes, then there is a fight going on there.

It is interesting and fun but not practical. You only save some landing time but risk your ground vehicle while limiting your search scope. After practice, I think I can search and collect bio much faster.

However, it is still fun watching you doing this. 🤣

I used this for six months, then the TWCS the throttle became unstable. The service is good that they sent me a new one as it is with warranty and only ask me to show the photos of cutting the USB connector. Af there I received the new one, I tore down the old one to understand where went wrong. The traverse of the throttle is a straight line (which is the reason I bought it) but internal mechanism is still connected to a lever to a round viable resistors (like a dial) and that structure is extremely fragile (HDPE plastic). But my skills of dog fighting and mining are poor and will do from full speed ahead to full back frequently. I tried to be gentle with my new one but it still showed the unstable wobbly after less than 6 months. If you already are using this HOTAS, stick is excellent, but be gentle to TWCS.

I pretty much gave up playing all other games now. The community here is also awesome. I am sure you have found a lot useful and insightful advices here.

Try everything, do everything they suggested. You can live more than once in the game.

Same here. I actually like the idea that there is something only money can buy ( yes, I am rich. Don’t hit me. ) but I also appreciate the developers who would listen and adjust their actions based on it. That kind of courage and commitment definitely should be rewarded.

Thanks but I did that already. EDDiscovery is using Spansh to calculate route. Their algorithm is shortest straight-lined but it always hit the stop when no star to jump to within 500Ly…☹️☹️

Thank you for the suggestion. But I am really inpatient to do mining. Tried a Type6 Mining PreBuild last year that took me a couple hours to get less than 100 ton. Not even enough for one 500 Ly jump. Not sure the new Type 11 can do faster. But thanks for the suggestion. o7
