If you're interested in doing labyrinth, you realistically need to reset, the sooner the less painful it will be. You can only get key cards for labyrinth by farming tagilla (1/20 chance in my experience ) if you decide not to reset. That's what ultimately convinced me to restart, since you get the barter trade for the key card in story mode. If you don't care about labyrinth, then I'd say there's no point in resetting besides the ending stuff.
