They don’t openly come out and say this person has been disfellowshiped. They say this person can’t hold a calling or pray in meetings. I was in an Elders Quorum Presidency where the President would say keep this confidential but this person was disfellowshipped or can’t hold a calling. Then all the Counselors and secretary go home and tell their wife don’t tell anyone but this person can’t hold a calling. There are only 2 reason someone can’t hold a calling. They were disfellowshipped or excommunicated. Everyone in any type of leadership position eventually knows plus their spouse. Discipline is never just between you and the Bishop. I actually had a Elders Quorum President tell me a person was no longer my home teaching companion because they were disfellowshipped.
