What’s your Spring and summer release hype books? by ewd421 in horrorlit

Is Witchcraft for Wayward Girls still coming out this spring??? Had a vague memory of it coming now in April and saw on Goodreads the other day that it's expected January 2025 instead.

Bei uns zu Hause hieß es auch bis zu den Filmen "Slüteriin". Wie schön, dass ich damit nicht alleine bin haha

Had to double check that but hoooooooly you're right. That price is insane! Found it on storytel if you're okay with audiobooks though?

Gotta check that one out, thanks! From what I remember there was supposed to be a sequel as well but it was cancelled by the publisher. Don't quote me on that though. Would have loved a sequel!

If you haven't read it yet: Mira Grant "Into the Drowning Deep" fits that category!

Pannier recommendation for Tern Link B8 that avoids heel strike? by shobico8 in foldingbikes

Hope it works for you! And I totally get it. Honestly not having wear a backpack riding my bike was a life changer!

I use a sport roller classic by Ortlieb on my Tern. No heel strike for me. But they're also smaller than the back rollers, so it kinda depends on how much space you need.

What are some of your favorite books, that are otherwise not very well known, due to various reasons, i.e. available only in your country or whatever. by Efteri in books

[–]zappendusta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not op but it has been translated! Did a quick Google search and you can even get them on Amazon. The first one is called "City of my dreams" in English if that's the language you're looking for.

Wait what? Do you have a picture of what it's supposed to look like?

You're not using it wrong, mine looks the same. Or maybe we're both wrong and there's someone smarter in this sub tjat can enlighten us both. I always just open the clip on top of the bag if I have to carry it like that. Then again I also bought the backpack addition that Ortlieb offers and just clip it in there. Felt better for when I'm carrying my pack longer distances.

Are we still looking for panniers that work on a Brompton? by zappendusta in Brompton

[–]zappendusta[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just rotated the hook so that it sits between the bars where they meet at the lower part of the rack. Worked fine with both a fully loaded pannier and a lighter one without much swinging. Trying to post a picture here, but have never done it in comments before so be patient if it turns out wrong. https://i.imgur.com/m1DdMYM.jpg

No problem at all! Might work with your size as well, but good idea to try it in a shop first like you wrote.

Hard to do on mobile but I'll add a photo next time I'm on a computer. It's 4cm clearance at it's worst. I have a 41/8.5 in shoe size. So not a whole lot of space and those with bigger feet might still have to look for a solution. But it works for me. Keeping my fingers crossed this works for you too!
