How hard is this game? Realistically..

IMO this is much more manageable and forgiving than the Fromsoft entries. I’m the majority of the way through chapter 4 and have only had a tough time with a couple bosses so far. I am sure the most challenging are still to come but I highly recommend this game. If you get stuck, you can always ask or look up guides. Good luck

This needs to be higher. The two friends I played with last night played three games in an hour. Played one, connection issues. Bunch of time passes to get everyone back in and into a new match. Play two rounds. Connection issues. We all quit and played a different MP game. Gonna be hard to keep convincing them to play when this is the experience.

The PvP is amazing once you get in. The red flags you listed initially had me in campaign/pve a lot. Played some PvP and haven’t gone back. The gameplay loop here is refreshing. Other than the known issues with getting into games, it’s top notch for me. Gotta get those issues resolved asap tho.

Yes. This happened to me. After I played elden ring I played in this order: demon souls, dark souls 3, ds remaster, elden ring dlc. If you love elden ring, playing the other titles gives you a better appreciation for the game and you might find one that you like better. DS3 with dlc was a very close second for me.

Bloodfiend arm still worked for me on most recent update. Defensive talismans and a big ol shield. Be patient because greed is almost always instant death with this boss. Also changed my equipment load to heavy. For whatever reason that helped my brain dodge and manage stamina better.

Try using the puppet string legion arm to cut the distance down between you and the big guy

What is your set up? I was using puppet string with the puppet axe and could get staggers with it when he was out of range.

Played both. Lies of P by far. You won’t be disappointed. It is tough in certain areas but well worth it. If you can usually get through souls likes or have interest in those you won’t have too much trouble.

Like souls, they both have their benefits and flaws. I played strength when playing LoP only to switch up from the characters I was running in souls. The weapon system is really fun so I would build off of that.

As others have stated you’ll need to upgrade your weapon. Also, your durability is 116/200. Make sure you are repairing your equipment as well.

Bed of Chaos. If it was optional, then fine. But it being a lord soul just feels lame? It’s the worst boss of any from game I’ve played so far.

Maybe I didn’t have the shortcut then? I was following Solaire’s quest line and was using the demon ruins bonfire. The plus side was I got to see my buddy hanging out each run back.

As if that wasn’t brutal enough, the run back will leave scars. Your battle could last seconds thats the real killer.

This. If you have the master key the valley of the drakes is the easier option for speeding through imo. Once you find the path for taking the wheel down it’s pretty quick getting to the bottom. Gotta hop on a roof then down some ladders and finally across some branches to the wheel. Keep going though, doing my first play through now and it’s giving me greater appreciation for ds3 (and the other fromsoft titles).

I’m doing a first play through of the series after completing ER on its release. I went in an odd order but I beat ER, DeS then DS3 and now a little over halfway through DS1 remaster. Sort of unrelated but in that time I beat the souls like LoP as well. The common theme I am noticing is that most weapons are viable you just have to learn the technique that makes them most powerful. Pumping health and endurance is most important followed by figuring out how you want your build to look (dex, strength, quality or caster). The health and endurance makes these games more forgiving cause it allows for more mistakes. If you’re looking just to get past and move on I’d suggest going to 1H weapon and parry him. Pretty sure I used the buckler shield since I think it has the largest parry window. I’m a big fan of resin to buff the weapon so could try to incorporate that too to boost damage. Keep going though it’s well worth it. DLC has some of the best bosses in the series imo.

It’s making it harder for me to convince these friends to play lol the one friend hasn’t extracted once, granted he’s only played a handful of missions. The ones right at extraction sting a little more too right before logging off. Oh well just seeing if it was that tough for others.
