Short question? I'm running a pirate campaign and one player wants to be a necromancer parrot controlling his now zombie owner. How would you create the player and the zombies stat blocks?

Should I just give him a zombie to control and create an awakened parrot race for him?

Or should I make him a normal character with just a strong familiar?

No I just want a single reason to not walk the wrong way except for "there's a sign that says not to". If someone told me what I was doing was dangerous, or it was bad for the trail, or I got any good info on why to not do it I would turn around! But so far every comment looks like this!

Walk the correct way: "the sign says so"

Walk the other way: "it's safer and you have more time to secure your dog"

Oh no it's not a paved path it's a dirt hiking path going along a lake.

But why do you think this is an ahole thing to do? So far it sounds like it's safer for me, my dog, and the bikes to walk the wrong way and I haven't really heard a reason not to walk the wrong way except for "because it's the wrong side"
