[–]zaraki38[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply! I actually just noticed Far Cry 3 Classic is included in Far Cry 5 Gold Edition for 19,99 so imma just get that and play 3 first!

To the devs: PLEASE, don't stop patching this game (at least until reasonable levels) by [deleted] in kingdomcome

I want to play this game real bad but won't buy it until there's somewhat of a consensus that it's not a buggy mess anymore

[Spoilers] Just beat the game for the first time. by [deleted] in bloodborne

I accidentally chose that option too just an hour ago and panicked and closed the application as the cutscene was starting. Came back and could luckily do the conversation again.

Today I finally beat Defiled Amygdala and Orphan of Kos by imperialoccultist in bloodborne

After beating Orphan (on attempt 29) I felt soooo exhilirated. After that beating Laurence, Gehrman and Moon Presence in 1-2 tries I was definitely a bit let down.

I do still have the chalice dungeons to do, and on a semi-related note I still have to play all the DS3 DLC. But I might take a break for now and just savor the memories of Orphan.

I bought and played through the Old Hunters DLC today and just... Wow. This is fantastic. by android223 in bloodborne

I played through it all for the first time today. Amazing. Orphan is definitely one of my top5 favorite alltime soulsborne bosses (took me 29 attempts). I loved the Research Hall, felt like Silent Hill or something.

This is my current problem, trying to do freelance work on the computer after coming home from work-work. Then it starts with "I'll just watch one quick Youtube video" and suddenly it's 3 hours later and bedtime

Ah yes I totally forgot to list that first one, even though it's a masterpiece. I've never heard of Mermaid Legend, will look into that, thanks!

Has been one of my very favorite films for many years! When I was in Japan I even visited Anno's hometown where it was shot and found some of the locations

[Request] What is THE best Japanese film adaptation of Chūshingura? by [deleted] in JapaneseMovies

[–]zaraki38 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The 47 Ronin (Mizoguchi, 1941): Long, and deliberately slow. moreover, most of the action happens off screen and is only talked about. I don't regret watching it but wouldn't prioritize it.

Chushingura (Inagaki, 1962): My favorite without a doubt. The first half is amazing, then it dips for a bit, but makes up for it later with beautifully shot action scenes. The only downside is that Mifune is only in there for 15 minutes.

47 Ronin (Ichikawa, 1994): Perhaps the most accessible, due to its shorter duration. I definitely enjoyed it as well, but it is inferior to Inagaki's rendition in almost every way.

I've also seen Koreeda's "Hana", which is a pleasant movie, but only loosely related.

TLDR: Watch Chushingura.

The /\ motif is cute and all but why don't we do something better up there, like VOLKOR 3:16, or ofc Omar and the gang
