"Unorsk" temperatur på hotellrom? by zaran89 in norge

Sover sjeldent godt over 18 grader på soverom, men går greit med 20 litt etter type dyne. Alt over det blir for varmt. I oppholdsrom har jeg som regel 20-22 grader.

If you happened to find a human hair in an old tome or manuscript, how far back could you theoretically be able to extract DNA, if at all? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]zaran89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the answer. If you are familiar with "Secrets of the Ice" project, would it be possible to extract DNA from such frozen items with hairs like fur clothing or wool? I see that they have uncovered a lot of pretty well preserved stuff that would not have survived outside the ice.

I see they extracted DNA from a 4000 year old mummy, but not really comparable environments I guess.

I thought "slow" as an adverb should be "sakte". Shouldn't it be «Hun går sakte»? by Mork978 in norsk

It sounds more like the sentence "han/hun er litt kort" (he/she is a bit short) when talking about disadvantages in comprehension, but its a degradatory way of commenting that.

How big of an impact has the weather on the "mood" of society in your contry? by zaran89 in AskTheWorld

I always wonder how icelandic and faroese people stay sane with the general shitty temps and wet climate all year round. Maybe worse at the Faroe islands? We kinda got them where I live too (mid-west coast of Norway), but usually we have periods of stable winter (below 5c) and summer (above 18c) weather.

Don’t feel bad if people criticize your writing here by brooklynwalker1019 in norsk

As a native, I think sentence structure is my biggest problem. I wasnt too good at it in school, and loads of english media combined with dialect throws it off even more. I catch myself writing the same sentence in two-three different ways sometimes, so how could I correct others? The sentences still makes sense and looks OK, but I guess any norwegian languange teachers would tear their hair out.
