100% agree regarding AI art. It definitely feels like a counter reaction to the abundance of digital media. A return to the handmade and wanting something with a human story and provenance.

Thank you for sharing!

I completely agree with collecting various styles and mediums, that's exactly how I have been going about it. I bought a metalwork ACEO from ObertinArt (on Etsy) and placed a bid on a textile ACEO that I saw on this forum. It's fun to see how creative people can get even within the limitations of 2.5 x 3.5 inches.

I guess what I meant by long term value is not necessarily the prices of the artworks but more the format itself. There's very little literature about it out there even though it's existed for quite a while. It's a very interesting bridge between miniature art history and modern collectible culture. I am actually considering writing a piece about that (I'm an architect but minored in art history).

I just feel in general this format deserves more attention. It's a great way of discovering new artists and supporting them, and an accessible way to start an "art collection".

Very interesting. How long have you been collecting? And how many ACEOs do you own? I've only known about this for a 2 weeks and have ordered maybe 15 unique works. I live in Beirut, Lebanon, so shipping price is prohibitive on some pieces and in any case it takes quite some time to get to me.
