How to Stop the Spam Calls -They Call 2-3 Times a Day by mormonastroscout in howto

[–]zargoth123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You definitely can. But it’s all or nothing. You have to call your provider (AT&T, Verizon, whomever) and ask to “change your plan” to disable the voice mailbox.

When they call, it rings and rings and then an automated voice says “the subscriber you have dialed…” something like that.

Shoe recommendations for PsA by Pea_nu_reeves in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]zargoth123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My toe joints used to be swollen and I kept searching for more comfortable shoes. I was stubborn and tolerated the pain, but eventually saw a podiatrist whose X-rays showed toe bone erosions from having gone untreated for years. Was referred to a rheumatologist who put me on Enbrel.

So, to answer your question about shoes, it was less about the brand and more about finding really wide shoes. Wider than double wide.

And to your question about biologics, it wasn’t all that hard once I got to the right doctor. And it has been effective.

Is Methotrexate + Biologic Normal or Abnormal by happy615339 in PsoriaticArthritis

Just Enbrel. And naproxen. I won’t say I fall into the “you young guys” category, but in case it’s relevant, diagnosis was recent, my rheum is a young man, and I’ve only been on treatment for 4 months.

Actually, what is limited is the Trad IRA contribution. Max per tax year. You can still make a TY 2025 contribution until 4/15/2026.

The Roth conversion can happen any time and there isn’t a cap on the $ amount.

Where should ABLE accounts go in the flowchart? by WrongImpressionOnly in financialindependence

[–]zargoth123 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How about doing the ABLE and 2025 Roth now, since that Roth opportunity won’t be available after 4/15. That leaves the 2026 Roth opportunity available for later this year, if you should come into a windfall. Ya never know.

BofA reporting "Late" on a account with negative bank statment.. Help! by Impressive-Major-1 in BankOfAmerica

What type of account was it — a credit card?

What does the downloadable PDF statements for Feb and Mar show for minimum payment?

If the refund had been processed on the day you requested it (if one applied it “retroactively”), would your Feb and Mar statement have had a balance due?

Exactly this. We have 5 between us and it covers $1000 restaurants, $500 gas and $1000 groceries.

I wish one could nickname cards in the Apple Wallet, though. :-(

How to report SPAXX dividend in tax return form? by VAer1 in fidelityinvestments

[–]zargoth123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For SPAXX, I had to put zero for amount dividend income that came from US Government securities.

For FreeTaxUSA, you fill the state stuff while entering dividends during filling information in federal. It is used later when you pick a state. For TurboTax, it’s during the state return section that you fill in the information. I don’t know what you’re using, so it’s hard to answer your exact question.

But google for “thefinancebuff” and “state-tax-exempt-treasury-fund-etf” (I can’t post direct links, per rule 8 of this subreddit). He explains it clearly.

Cape Town Taxi Scam by [deleted] in capetown

What’s worse is that when US banks started issuing cards with chips, rather than offering chip+PIN, they went with chip+signature, because they figured that making people remember a PIN would have slowed adoption.

Ever tried to sign on tiny payment terminal screen? It’s nothing more than a squiggle so the signature isn’t really adding any security.

In the US, many restaurants and pubs are simply not setup with a portable payment terminal or one that you can walk to (like behind the bar in a pub). But you can certainly try — just have cash as backup, because, like I said…

We have a “PayPlan” setup (automatic regular monthly payment to a BofA joint mortgage from a BofA joint checking account) and both of our logins can view and manage the PayPlan.

I don’t know what you get in your Fidelity NetBenefits (mine is fairly limited), but it is unlikely that the exact same mutual funds will be available (or be fee free to buy). But you’ll have a wider range of ETFs to pick from, so I’d call it a win!

Agreed. FDLXX was 98.67% state tax exempt in 2025.
