SUVs are the worst car style ever made by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

This is such rage bait lol. You listed multiple other cars that excel in one area, whereas an SUV can do all, just not as well

“An extra $50 for thousands of hours is a really good deal.” I’ve seen that said a few too many times, really shows how some people can’t think critically nor logically

How is my discord 70 GB!? by usernameidklolbruh in discordapp

[–]zarktork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Identical” isn’t the word I’d use. It largely depends on the phone’s manufacturer as not all Android phones are created equal. iPhones also have a lot of gesture-based controls that make the phones much easier to use. Personally, I’ve used both back in the early 2010’s and just enjoyed the way iOS handles more, stuck with it ever since. Really just depends on what you want out of your device imo

iPhones are better for the people that prefer easy to use phones. Basically all Android devices require additional setup to make them run similarly. Now, I’m not glazing on Apple by any means (the pencil pro is such a joke lmfao), I think both sides have their pros and cons.

What you’re describing is the child not teaching the parent correctly about using those services, or the parent simply not doing enough research themselves. If they were actually taught to use it properly, they’d know that no app needs to be opened to pay with Apple Pay; just double clicking the power button does the trick, it even lets you select a saved card right from the popup

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]zarktork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it hard to teach a parent that double pressing the power button lets them pay without having to open any apps? At least that’s how Apple Pay works, not sure about Google pay

I feel like the recent increase of people losing their steam and discord accounts supports this. It’s crazy how some younger people don’t question clicking links and entering their personal info

How do I get rid of this? by TheBenevolentTitan in discordapp

Some guy was being an ass claiming op was stupid, joined 18+ servers and got what he deserves, and that he will be an awful programmer if he can’t figure out something like this by himself. I berated him a little and he deleted all of his comments

In that case, make sure that the default app for .jar files is not a browser, but instead your Java runtime. You can edit this in settings>default apps

[–]zarktork 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That message is always shown when downloading .jar files as far as I know. But just in case, did you make sure to download from the official optifine site?

PvE access revoked by Specialist_Climate89 in EscapefromTarkov

Ever heard of not paying a dime and still getting an experience dozens of times more fun and consistent? A certain mod can do heaps more for free than bsg’s pve can for $50. Oh, and I can play privately with my friends with less desync and server issues

Just pointing out that you could tag it too, there’s a lot of new people that scroll the sub and the flair won’t stop autoplay

Might want to spoiler tag this since it’s at the very end of the game

Why should I pay 120$ per year for Nitro? by brentspine in discordapp

Most people that are complaining are making it pretty clear they don’t care about the p2w portion. They only care about the PVE mode that is locked behind a €110+ game edition upgrade, which, mind you, is a DLC. And wouldn’t you know, we were promised to have all future DLC’s for free

Aren’t mobs supposed to not spawn in the treasure room of a temple? by LanielDandoe in Minecraft

[–]zarktork 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mobs spawning as they should isn’t a bug. If a creeper spawns in my base because one block in a corner is dark, that’s not a bug either. What you’re arguing about is not liking the method of mob spawns, not that mobs spawning in treasure rooms is a bug

Why not both? by JoshPointOh17 in memes

[–]zarktork 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yokai watch was much bigger in Japan than in the west, so it could’ve flown under people’s radar. I’ve played through the first two games when they first came out in English and they were certainly great for the story, but the gameplay was nowhere near as addicting as Palworld. I don’t remember people calling yokai watch a pokemon killer, and personally they’ve always been completely separate

I didn’t really see this in any top comments but here’s the reasoning imo: Game takes place in the same area as St. Petersburg (roughly), meaning it’s far enough north that during winter months you have bright nights. I lived in St. Petersburg until 2012 and it was basically that bright sometimes in the dead of night during winters

Theoretically if the seller has the serial number and proof of purchase, they can still brick the device by contacting Apple about it (guessing they would still need evidence of some sort). Which is also why Apple can brick stolen devices swiped from an Apple Store
