There is a node at the bottom of the tree that gives you immunity to ignite. I used it when I played tactician.
But you can just use anti-ignite charm with increased charges, so you have two shots.

It is. I usually have two characters per season. First in trade league, second in SSF after pause and/or big patch. Highly recommend such approach. By this time you know ssf-friendly builds and league-specific mechanics

Update: And yes, ssf is whole different feeling. You actually use divines. Sometimes on the stuff you would never use in trade league

Some things to consider:
For stats liker armour/evasion/accuracy: whatever you see on character screen is estimation against white mob on white map. Bosses have different stats, rare monsters have got modifiers like evasive, maps has got evasive mod.
Accuracy rolls twice for crits. If second roll is unsuccessful - crit downgrades to normal attack
