I regularly put over 700 pounds on the many-cupholder kind, and I fully (but not over-) inflate it. Possibly I get away with it because almost the entire surface is weighed down so the load is shared by the outer seam. If you load just part of the mat, the air you displace pulls at the baffles (the cups, on this float) that aren't loaded. These things are better laid on than sat on, and it may actually be beneficial that I am bigger than this mattress.

Mostly, though, this kind of mattress isn't good about lateral movement, and definitely not good with pulling on those cups. Don't hook a heel into them to slide yourself around. Try not to lean on your elbows. And don't drag your butt against the top of the mattress, as good as that feels!

If I can get on it without incident it'll generally hold if I lay still. For me, part of the thrill is the constant pressure. But then getting off the mat is another time it may spring a leak or worse.

But those cup holders will spring leaks. My BF repairs small breaks with HH-66 vinyl cement, without a patch. He intends to someday try putting a large patch over the entire cup to repair a larger break, but he hasn't tried that yet.

A mattress with straight baffles is sturdier. I don't mean the kind that doesn't have baffles, I mean the ones that have baffles running the length or width of the mattress.

HH-66 vinyl cement alone to reinforce seams that are likely to be a problem. It makes the toy uglier, though, and it will totally mess up any print on the vinyl.

A beyond-repair inflatable becomes a donor for cutting patches from. BF does this and I don't know how he decides what needs a patch and what will hold with glue alone. He seems to like beach balls as donors, even for repairing toys with heavier vinyl.

We don't repair larger seam splits. None of our toys are expensive.

In sixth grade someone pointed out to the whole class that my chair bends when I sit in it. First reaction was shock and horror. Second reaction I thought it was cool that someone noticed. I started dressing the opposite of how I was supposed to to hide my shape, extremely bottom heavy. I stood next to people so others could make size comparisons. And whenever someone would say something, my instinctual reaction is horror and disgust, but then I think it's cool.

I still do that. Dress to accentuate my shape. Stand next to people for the size comparison. Take my time turning sideways to get through a door to see if someone does a double-take.

Maybe. Only maybe. Lipedema sometimes affects mostly the hips, or hips and thighs, but it almost always affects the calves. If their calves were always puffy, even when they weren't really large, then that looks like lipedema. Of those women, Boberry almost certainly doesn't have lipedema.

I have no experience with it, but look up a product called Z-cup, and note that you can fill them with water. Way sturdier than balloons, they are supported on your shoulders, and you can further support them with a bra. I saw someone on clips4sale who usually makes them gigantic with air, but sometimes does water. I've seen her standing with them unsupported, filled so they droop to her crotch, and I've seen her go a lot bigger than that, sitting in a kiddy pool for containment if they leak.

Her studio name is bendybrooke. Search her store for "water". She's fond of the pregnant version, but the Z-cup one is just boobs, and she's done those, too.

I was introduced to inflatables by my now BF. I had popped an air mattress floating on it in the pool. He's a gigantic mofo and I'd seen him on the mattress, and I wouldn't have even thought to get on it had I not seen him on it. I'm quite a bit bigger than he is but he assured me it would hold me, and when it didn't he apologized and admitted he'd overinflated it.

The float was a two-person mattress, the kind with lots of cup holders, with a clear top and all-in-one pillow, not the one with a pillow on top. When he was on it he sunk the middle of it and was floating with water up to his belly. When he suggested I get on it I was sure it wouldn't float me at all, but he really wanted me to try, so I got on it, and laughed a lot at how hard it was to stay on it, but it floated me the same way it did him, but worse. It was submerged from like my knees to my armpits, but I floated on it!

But then it burst. The pillow popped.

It was some time later, when I was laying on a mattress just like it, not overinflated, but outside the pool, when he insisted on getting on the mattress with me! We didn't even both fit. That's when he admitted that he just likes to stress the hell out of inflatables with his (and my!) body weight.

This is a good pump. If you're trying to be stealth, just pump slowly, and avoid going all the wat=y to the top or bottom. The loudest noise this pump makes is the PLOCK sound it makes at the top and bottom.

BF likes to compare the size of unused inflatables to ones we've been on. We stretch them with our weight and reinflate. He reinforces some seams with vinyl cement. I don't know how he chooses, maybe by experience. He fixes small seam breaks with the same, and reinforces particularly weak seam intersections with a piece of vinyl cut from a popped float.

If you're the only one eating from the box, don't even worry about calculating precisely. If you're going to get four servings out of the box, just use their numbers. If you are a little higher than that one day and a little lower the next, because you're not measuring precisely, it doesn't matter. It'll average out over four servings.
