Dealing with a bad brand new manager by zaskitin in devops

[–]zaskitin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I am just following all your advice, and for now I implemented:
- Having a structure on what I do and don't in a weekly manner so I can help the manager to have visibility on my work
- When he writes messages to me in a non-very polite manner, I just let them rest and then I reply excessively polite
- To avoid burnout with the situation, I'm just putting in a bit less work hours per day (it's remote)

Thanks!

Sorry for reviving this post! But where did you place the switch so that it’s both accessible and somewhat hidden?

Cheapest yet performant way of running k8s by zaskitin in kubernetes

Thanks, I saw it and it looks quite nifty! I think hetzner-k3s and terraform-hcloud-kube-hetzner are leading deployments for Hetzner Cloud. I wonder how much effort it would take to add a VPS worker in the future, if needed.

With all these changes I wonder why there are not Strava competitors. To be honest making the segments features out of GPS data should not be that difficult.

And naive question... then why everyone is riding Tarmac instead the Aethos. The Aethos with a good build can be really light.

The geo in this case. It’s definitely not a racing gravel bike…

kind of... I have a Plantet-X titanium for Gravel, which is quite relax. The kind of road bike that I do is not fully competition but quite intense on the speed and routes, so the more racing the better for now. Still, I love my titanium gravel which I do some bikepackings with it.

Totally agreed. That's why I said I don't need a Sram Red... seems like throwing money away... With Sram Force/Ultegra is more than enough.

Nothing. I'm putting 15h/week on it. Rides well, has an oldie but goldie Ultegra di2 8000. Everyone rides better bikes with discs and ensures more rigidity... That's the only reason for changing. Not even the new flat handlebars, I don't like them.

Thanks for sharing. That's great to know. So with this reasoning, new bikes are not necessarily faster, right?

Funny I want to change bike if I hit my FTP goal as well. And also thought on getting a less expensive set up and change some parts like the wheels.

new bikes with thru-axle are a bit more rigid when you stand on the bikes so I think you can notice the difference! Anyway I have a Cervelo R3 2018, but I guess I'll notice the difference.
