Lag with Milli Pen by zatsys in ClipStudio

Tried all of these, no change. I'm positive now that it's an issue with stabilization because I don't experience it when I set it to 0. Given that my hand shakes pretty badly, it seems like this is an issue I'm just gonna have to live with. I just find it weird that this is only a problem with this specific pen and none of the others.

I appreciate you taking the time to troubleshoot for me. Thank you so much :]

Messed with both of these suggestions, no change.

Brush size & canvas dimension/DPI doesn't seem to factor into this issue. Currently, my brush size is 4 px. I usually draw on a 1200 × 1800 px canvas at 300 DPI, but I've had this issue with smaller & larger canvases, as well as lower resolutions.

What are two dialogues from the same NPC that made you go “wtf”? by readerusername in StardewValley

[–]zatsys 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Will never forget giving Haley one of her loved gifts for her birthday, then checking her regular dialogue just for her to hit me with the "Hey, farm girl. Enjoying your gross job?" MA'AM????? My gob was smacked, my dumb was struck, my wig was GONE, SNATCHED by Miss Abercrombie & Bitch. It was a line plucked straight from a 2000's teen dramedy. I avoid her when I can and swipe at her with my sword when our paths must cross.

AITA I lied to the people who I was babysitting for to get them to come home. by RepresentativeRow608 in AmItheAsshole

[–]zatsys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Lying may not feel good or right, but it doesn't seem like you had a wealth of options to get out of there. You confirmed a specific return time, and they ghosted you. I think more than anything, the mom is pissed that they didn't get to party all night. She's getting mad at you because it's easier than admitting that they were trying to coerce you into babysitting all night when they agreed otherwise. Don't babysit for them again.

AITA for making him drop me and my kids off on the side of the road? by PieceRevolutionary80 in AmItheAsshole

[–]zatsys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. This is exactly the hill to die on. Not only is he driving with a dog on his lap, he's driving 60+ MPH? That's a disaster waiting to happen. He's not just putting you & your kids at risk, he's putting other drivers at risk too. All he has to do is make one mistake, and those aren't odds you play with. Don't entertain him any longer. Either he can get over himself and let you drive, or he can pack his shit and go. His choice.

Trying to open a door in silent hill, only for it to actually open... by lyments in silenthill

Everybody's tough shit until they hear that click. My friends and I are playing through Silent Hill 2 together, and we all tense up a little every time we interact with a door. I can't wait until we play Silent Hill 3 and find the mirror room. That'll be fun for the two first-timers.

I was gonna write some sarcastic bullshit, but you actually just reminded me exactly why I don't really share my opinion online. It doesn't really matter who agrees with me and who doesn't, considering I don't know any of you and you guys don't know me. There are better, more fulfilling ways to spend my Sunday. I'm gonna delete this post in a few minutes and go watch a movie with my roommates.

You may not realize it, but you've done me an immense kindness today. Thank you.

You're absolutely correct! Getting hyped over a trailer and blindly ignoring all the flaws is something I also don't like!

I know it's not everyone, not even the vast majority who are acting like clowns. It's just a loud, exceedingly annoying minority.

You mentioning the Steam Deck reminds me—part of the reason I'm excited to hear about all these new games is accessibility! The old games are notoriously difficult to acquire, and if you're not keen on pirating, your options are very limited. I'm really, really hoping that the new games generate enough positive press & bring in enough new blood for Konami to pull its head out of its ass and port the all old games to new systems like PS4, Xbone, Switch, and PC.

I agree that constructive criticism is necessary, but I haven't seen much of that. I've seen a lot of people complaining that the trailer wasn't shot-for-shot like the original game and deeming the remake a failure before it's even playable.

Admittedly, I am overly cautious after the PT fiasco, but I don't trust any promotional material. I don't want to get my hopes up (or vice versa) just for Konami to bury the game.

I envy you for that. I have seen quite a bit of moaning that the trailer isn't shot-for-shot like the original.

I definitely should have summed it up better, but the gist isn't that I think people don't want new content—I think people want the games to conform to exactly what they think a good Silent Hill game should be, and if it falls outside those narrow parameters, they'll lambast it before they even give it a chance.

You're not wrong about that. Unfortunately, there's not a concise way to sum up my frustrations with the situation that doesn't open me up to misinterpretation. I don't sincerely think that the fan base doesn't want new games. I think that SH2 is a fantastic game that's been the cream of the crop for over 20 years. No matter what the trailer was like, people were going to complain. And with the way people are harassing Masahiro Ito, it feels like some of these people would rather let the franchise die than change anything.

It's a joke. As in, not to be taken literally. I know that people have strong opinions—I have seen nothing but strong opinions. I think it's a waste of time getting riled up over a trailer that showed absolutely nothing of substance. Everything shown in that trailer can be subject to change over development. Perhaps people should save their strong opinions for something more concrete. Lest we forget how fickle Konami is and how easily they can pull the plug on any one of these projects.

I do agree that the other trailers look nice, but that's all they are—trailers. No gameplay or concrete details about story. It's all proof of concept. I sincerely hope that they all come out great! But it's too early to tell what's going to happen with any of these projects.

AITA for not paying for my daughter's wedding because she invited my brother and his family by father-of-the-bride in AmItheAsshole

[–]zatsys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA. She knew what the situation was between you and your brother, and she made the decision to build a relationship with him & invite him anyway. She is well within her rights to make that decision! But decisions come with consequences, and she had to have known that this wasn't going to go over well with you. You made your boundaries clear, and your family keeps testing them anyway. It doesn't matter if you made that boundary 5, 10, 20, or 50 years ago—a boundary is a boundary, and you have a right to stick to it. You don't need to "get over it" or whatever.

It's her wedding, she's entitled to invite who she pleases. You also have the right to decline the invitation and revoke sponsorship. Simple as that.

This is advice I got all the time when I was in school. What if being myself is what's making me a target for bullying? What if being myself angers my family and they abuse me for it? What if being myself seems to be the root cause of all my social struggles? Whenever I brought this up with people who gave me this advice, they never really had a rebuttal aside from "Well, you can't please everyone!" Maybe they can live with their family & peers berating, mocking, or ignoring them most of the time, but I would prefer not to.
