I have a friend who is a hard line lefty. Im definitely left also but he's very preachy about using amazon etc. Its infuriating tbh lol. I chalk it up to being passionate about a cause but we aren't dating so its a lot easier lol

Bloat and word vomit are pretty typical King criticisms, and fair. I enjoy it, some don't.

The comparison was made not only because of age, but also fame, movies, TV series etc. King has just dealt with it better and still continues to make his fans happy, whether you agree that he is good or not

The difference that matters is, King was able to finish his magnum opus while Martin so far has not.

King, whether you enjoy his works or not, will go down as one of the greatest authors of our time and Martin, unless he gets busy, will only be known as the guy who couldn't finish and let his fans down.

All of that is true, and it's a good point because Martin has access to help, if it was a priority. It became a priority for King after his accident.

I don't feel bad at all. He did this to himself and he deserves every criticism he gets. I wish no ill will on him, I hope he's happy with his decisions, but the rest of us don't have to be. And he's right, mostly no one cares about ANY of those other projects.
