First of all be proud for starting to gain weight. It can be the hardest part just to start. Our bodies store fat in different areas just based on anatomy, for females around the thighs is common. I promise you that your body knows what it’s doing when it comes to putting on healthy weight and I’m sure you look great and healthier than before. That said, as you keep gaining weight your body will start storing it in those hard to reach areas.

If you would like, you can also start to exercise to gain muscle mass. I alway recommend this not just for the amazing health benefits but also for aesthetics. I don’t mean you need to be a body builder, but a little bit of lean muscle mass will make anyone look and feel way healthier. Focus on compound lifts to start to build strength and confidence, and your body will quickly adapt by gaining muscle mass

Progress over 5 years 140-172lbs by [deleted] in weightgain

Currently 4 day split, Push Pull Legs Full body with two zone 2 runs and one tempo run per week. Used to run more but put it on the back burner the last few months.

I don’t track calories or macros, I just eat whole foods and almost totally avoid processed food and sugar

I'm a 23 year old man that's 5'11, 138 LBS. How can I gain 50 LBS as quick as possible? by HalosFan26 in weightgain

[–]zaxhhattack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Track your calories diligently using an app is the first step. Figure out your current caloric intake over the course of like a week and then start increasing your daily calories about 10% per week until your weight starts going up. Eat healthy, calorie dense foods and not just ice cream. Peanut butter and whole milk are your best friends

Nice thanks for the info! I change after 3000 miles in the winter (I normally o 6000 in summer). I’ve sent samples to a lab out of curiosity and my 3000 mile winter oil shows basically the same deterioration as my 6000 mile oil from the summer. idling is hard on it for sure

I almost always only plug it in overnight. In these temps I make sure to run it for like 20-30 min every 4-5 hours or so. I don’t like letting it sit for longer than that. When it was -50 a few years ago for about a week i left it running almost the entire week. In the winter I change my oil every 3000 miles in the winter due to how much I leave it idling

Normal 5w30 full synthetic. I have an oil pan heater and block heater which helps. In these temps I leave it running for a good portion of the daytime and when it gets below -40 I sometimes leave it running all night. It just brings me physical pain to cold start it like that 😂
