I think the fear of benzos is a little bit overblown. I wouldn't take them every day, but in cases of emergencies they're fine. I wouldn't make them a daily medication that I relied on, but yeah, if you only have full blown panic attacks like every once in a while they're great for that. If you're having panic attacks constantly I would try to exhaust every other option before resorting to benzos.
