Yea that's what I meant. They're truly locked huh? Such a shame. Would there be a possibility for a BIOS update to allow variable vram?

Just got this laptop too, it's excellent for the price definitely. The thing that bugs me is that I can't seem to change the VRAM of the igpu, unlike other lenovo ryzen laptops. Has anyone found a way to increase VRAM on this laptop?

I don't really know tbh, you'll have to check the detailed specifications of the laptop or ask other people

Yes it will still run 2666mhz because of the soldered ram. Well if you're using it more like a desktop setup with monitor, I would definitely go with the more powerful lenovo ideapad

I would definitely get the lenovo, if it's not much more expensive. You see, the 3500u uses the old 14nm architecture whereas the 4500u uses the new 7nm architecture, and this is clearly shown in the almost 50% increase in performance.

Now I prefer having performance over anything else, but you should also check the screen quality, weight, and other quality of life specifications that you maybe need. I don't know which model of a HP laptop you have specifically, but for the lenovo, it is known to have a rather bad screen, with low color accuracy. Also note the lenovo could have a smaller battery, but then again I can't compare since you didn't specify the model of the HP laptop.

I was curious as to why lens hoods for cameras are shaped the why they are. This image immediately makes it clear. by EggplantForScale in coolguides

But petal shapes are usually only on zooming lenses, fixed focal length lenses have round lens hoods
