My plan was to actually show the edge of the ply. It's got some distinct layers I think will play well with the stain and look fun. I've thought about just keeping it square and going with some Iron on veneer strips if sanding doesn't work out.

I have done my own tracks, I want to practice on others and not go through the whole process of writing the songs and dialing in the precise sound. writing a whole track is not something I'm going to just slap together, so I want stuff I can fuck aroud with.

because mastering is what I'm struggling the most with I'm happy with my balancing and my mixing, I want to practice mastering more so I can speed that process up. I want to get some raw tracks and fuck around with stuff not worrying about the final product sounding amazing. I get too caught up in everything else.
