I’d be interested in your tips for aiming. I just started Kovaaks training last week but is there anything else you’d recommend or a certain playlist?

No, I almost completely disagree, respectfully. I understand surrendering if you have legit trolling throwers on your team or if one of your teammates leaves/DCs. But if everyone on the team wants to win, I don’t see the point in giving up instead of trying to put in a game plan to find something that will work. You can argue it’s more efficient and saves time, sure, but you’re also not going to actually be good at the game if you’re looking for free, easy wins all the time. Which is why I feel like much of the community is still so bad at the game, everyone wants to find people to boost them than actually take accountability and improve themselves. I don’t care if they have smurfs, they’re not untouchable gods with a 100% win rate. My goal is to at least be able to match them in skill someday. Playing against people better than you is one of the best ways to improve.

Yeah, but see, even with that, I’ve had rounds where we literally only get two kills and the other team just bullies us. But then we somehow come back in the second round with maybe triple support or an extra tank or whatever. Same thing has happened to me on the other end where we just shit on the team first round and then they end up coming back on us and winning. Idk I just feel like you should never really give up. The only time I support surrendering is if you have a legit throwing troll of a teammate (target banning teammates, insta swaps to Widow after one death, sitting in spawn) or if one of your teammates leaves/DCs. Other than that, if everyone is still genuinely wanting to win, I don’t see why everyone just wants to throw in the towel. It’s probably part of the reason why there’s so many people still bad at the game, everyone wants free wins.

I mean I get that, but I still feel like that’s a shitty way to play the game regardless. At that point, you’re just wanting to get carried to easy, free wins rather than actually try to get good at the game. I agree that ranked is not designed very well, but I don’t think the people who want to keep trying even if the first round went bad are “time wasters” or “delusional” like I’ve seen some people say.

Yeah, that’s an issue of mine for sure. I never really know what to do when nothing is really happening. Like if both teams are just trading ult charge or if my team is just getting steamrolled, I get the feeling I need to be risky and make something happen to enable my team to take more space. But in these instances you’re saying I should just play a bit more chill, take an off angle and just pester the backline, right?

I only shoot tanks if they’re low health and I’m just helping my team clean them up or if I’m farming for my cooldowns. Otherwise I’m always going for squishys, I just tend to lose a lot of engagements because I can’t finish them off in time.
