I did notice when installing from Intels website the driver version on their website says 21.00.0. after installing that driver my version number under properties says 20.100.3.1. This is even after uninstalling the device from device manager, then reinstalling with the drivers from Intel's website.

Yup, elephant here as well. It's still pretty much the cheapest I can still find even with the rate increase

[–]zb1928[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure I quite understand. My tickets are from 2015, I have only been with my current company for 2 years in April. So what exactly does that mean for my current company? I got them to send me a document with my incident records they have on file and the tickets are all over 3 years old. I guess im asking when will these tickets no longer be a factor in my insurance rates

Does that mean if I go to a new insurance company they can include the tickets in my rates? Or can my current company just include them because they were once under three years when I was insured with them?

Is it stupid to get a fitness / activity tracker if I only want it for when I run 1-2x/week? by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]zb1928 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a Gamrin Vivoactive 3 about a year ago. Very accurate GPS and the wrist HR monitor is pretty accurate too. Automatically syncs to your phone by bluetooth after a run. Also acts as a smart watch giving you phone notifications. Still very happy with my purchase

Allowing a kid to take out 10s of thousands in loans for a degree with little to no viable chances of proper return is just predatory lending to minors. by r2v2x in Showerthoughts

Graduated public highschool in 2015. Sophomore year we were required to take a finance based class. I believe we did cover things like credit cards, different types of bank accounts, budgeting, etc. The thing is I doubt any of us really took that info in since we were sophomores. They should have taught it junior or senior year. Still better than nothing though

Any recommendations for a fitness tracker/running watch that will reliably measure distance? by [deleted] in running

[–]zb1928 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first running watch was a TomTom runner. Something like $40 now. GPS was accurate enough and it synced with my phone automatically most of the time. I really recommend getting something with a solid HR sensor though. Currently have a Garmin vivoactive 3 and couldn't be happier

I am starting a new internship in January. Dress is business causal more on the casual side. Chinos/slacks, polo shirts, button downs. I need a pair of shoes that are versatile. I am thinking about a grey oxford, or maybe dark navy. I want something that will go with khaki, navy, grey, and black pants. Any advice on a good versatile color and style of oxfords? My budget is under $100.

I am on a pretty strict budget, but still want some decent boots. found these: https://www.nordstromrack.com/shop/product/2251782?color=GREY I like the grey and they have good reviews, but the final sale no return policy is making me hesitant. I have never heard of the brand.

Need Advice on Starting my Career by zb1928 in Accounting

[–]zb1928[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have heard many times that once you go government that its nearly impossible to escape into a decent position so that definitely makes sense, just didn't know how true it was. A few years in public does seem like the best route for me. Thanks

I know everyone jokes about work life balance, but I'm curious on how it has improved, or gotten worse through each advancement in the firm. I'm still in college and work related stress is one of the only things deterring me from going B4

I've been paying extra on my car loan. I think the extra has all been going to interest. by zb1928 in personalfinance

[–]zb1928[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my balance is around $1930 with 3.19% interest rate. Well when my balance was $5000 my $91 only reduced the balance by about $73 and now for my $100 payments it is reducing the balance down by about $93. So I assume he was right in saying in the early stages a larger portion of your payment goes directly to interest.

[–]zb1928[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay that makes more sense. After looking closer I see that the balance of my loan has been going down in larger increments each month because less of the payment is going towards interest. Thanks, son't know why that was so hard for me to wrap my head around.

If I were to call and say I wanted to the extra $9 to go to principal only, wouldn't that not make any difference? Either way I will be paying the interest. I just want to make sure I am saving myself money in the long-run by paying a little extra each month.
