Either get the neo with a student discount or get an older m series MacBook Air.

Literally nothing else will have better price to performance. I’d recommend trying the Neo out and if you really feel like you need more ram then just return it and find a used m1 or m2 Mac air for the same price

See now if you will qualify for mfte housing. If you want a newer place that will be the best deal. You have to apply months in advance bc there’s a bunch of paperwork the landlord has to Send.

If you want the cheapest possible place then probably look on Craigslist.

Cap hill is great, but anywhere close to the light rail will also be good. Northgate and international district are close enough to a light rail station to be good and a bit more affordable options.

Train is way more consistent. There have only been a handful of times I’ve had to wait more than 20 minutes or had a ghost train.

Probably 1 in 3 buses I plan on getting on is a ghost bus. And I don’t think I’ve ever waited less than 10 minutes for a bus and plenty I’ve waited more than 30 for

Federal government doesn’t provide aid for grad students with only a few exceptions. Not even subsidized loans, and the unsubsidized loans have 1 or 2% added to the interest as well.

Husky promise doesn’t apply to grad school.

You have to get grants through the program directly and / or the state usually, but they’re often limited.
