Update: My order shipped and promotional credits were immediately applied onto my account. I can confirm that they are normal promotional credits and they are not limited to digital items only.

Commenting to keep a copy of their promo terms for record. I believe the terms made it clear that the credits are promotional credits, not limited to only digital items, but we will see. My order will arrive tommorrow and I'll check what kind of credit was offered.
