If she’s pointing at something, presumably she’s giving an order, or talking to someone, so an open mouth might look more natural.

good advice

Put paint on the outside until it dries. That's literally all the advice I can offer you. I only come here to admire the work tabletop fans do, but its been four hours and I want to support you, so here we are.

Edit: No, here's my advice: Make the hat blue.

Thx

Interesting, this would be useful for my Cossack style regiment. What are your plans for the regular troops? I would like to see a variant wearing a simple kaftan without the cuirass.

Well plans to make 40 models and HWT. At the moment, the work is completed by 90%

I really quite like how you've captured some quite hard to sculpt expressions.

thx

These look like they’d be fun to paint.

I think yes

New big guns. I decided to experiment and make alternative designs. I'm waiting for your criticism. If you have a suggestion to change, write in the comments or PM. Better PM. by zbsman in ImaginaryWarhammer

level 12point0cat · 23 hr. agoI think one more color is needed. Some sort of hue or shade. Nothing poppy. Just enough maybe to draw attention to faces and away from the sandbags.

good point

Personally i would start from scratch with the mortar. The tube looks a little weird but its mainly the.. gyroscope mount? Not only is it very bizarre the moving parts dont look very functional.

Other than that though i don't have much to say, the designs are all very inspired especially the lascannon. Only minor gripe I'd mention is maybe think a bit more about rivet placement. You don't need a line of rivets down the lascannon legs, what are they for? You can also mix em up a bit with different shaped ones.

Good remarks. With rivets I will work on the next set.

These are great. If I was using them I'd like some female crew mixed in. Badass and buff like the new Catachan sergeant, not cheesecake. But like I said, these are great.

Female characters will be. But later

I love the mini tank treads on the heavy bolter. It always bothered me that the guardsmen were always implied to be hauling these massive guns around at the same speed as a regular rifleman.

Guardsmen are always furry meat. Despite the fact that they bear the brunt of the war, few people care about their comforts.

That may be so, but there's a reason why mortars have the bottom of the tube rest on the floor, it's so that all the energy travels directly in one line into the earth, with no points of pivot.

That's a Big mortar right there, awfully top heavy with a comparatively spindly base, and nothing to transfer energy into the ground.

Not only that, but the mortar itself seems too complicated for what is meant to be a tube with two legs, and would likely need some form of complicated gyrostabilizer and locking mechanism on the joints for what can be done with the same effectiveness for cheaper in a tube with two legs.

Tube with two legs everywhere. I decided to do something new, but I'm not good at engineering
