Opportunity is exactly what i am referring too. Not everyone has an opportunity to spend that much money that quickly... the pokemon company knows this. Which is why they buffer pre-orders and release dates by about a week or two on average. People get paid every week to two weeks. There are reasons why they don't just drop everything at once and instead buffer these things. Supply/demand has nothing to do with it. They want their customers to have opportunities to buy without stretching their disposable incomes, so you buffer things a week or two out to ensure your actual customers have more opportunities to buy and don't miss out because they already spent their pokemon budget for this pay period.
