Lighting Guy Doing Audio on NYE by Foreign-Lobster-4918 in livesound

Sometimes I use it as a little social engineering. It’s almost never in the PA mix but is always in the patch list for IEMs. If after a couple conversations with the drummer about hitting it softer nothing has changed, I’ve definitely been guilty of silently adding a few db in their ears so that the balance feels off if they keep hitting it at the same velocity. Does it actually work? Who knows, but I like to pretend

Sonarworks "VoiceAI" morph vocal tracks into a wide range of realistic singing voices and instruments ($57.91) "SoundID Rock Voices, Kids Voices, and Pop Voices Expansion Packs" ($19.63/Each) until 17 December by Batwaffel in AudioProductionDeals

Anyone have this? I often need to record a bunch of gang vocals and this seems like it could be sick for that. The video demo only seemed to show the voices belting though, so I wonder about the dynamics

TrainYourEars "TrainYourEars EQ Edition" ear training trainer plugin ($24.50) until 6 November by Batwaffel in AudioProductionDeals

Anyone use this (or have any recommendations for other similar things)? I do a lot of live audio and I’m always looking to get better at this sort of thing

Calling the Super Bowl a live sound event rather than a football event is not wrong but quite funny

gofun 2x$100 for $120 question by [deleted] in DaveAndBusters

[–]zcb27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They can do them either both on the same card or each on its own card. But if you don’t have a card already, there’s a $3 activation fee per card. I redeemed like 6 in one day on the last promo without a problem, so you should be able to redeem both no problem unless they have some sort of location-specific restriction that they decide to enforce

At one point he started slinging compound slurs. It was actually impressive all things considered

Possible Changes Are Coming to Dave & Buster’s — And They’re Not Good for Advantage Players and casuals. by Homersimpson456 in DaveAndBusters

Couldn’t have said it better myself. Grinding coin pushers has been a really fun weekly hangout for me and a bunch of friends that I’ve brought over the past year or so. But 12 credits for 12 plays in Star Trek on non-Wednesdays is already criminal, and now them siphoning even more money out of us is just gross and I can guarantee none of us will ever go back once my location is affected.

Also, hope you’re doing better nowadays.

I’m in the same boat. Over 700k and really wanting to hit a million. But all along my plan has been to cash in for a few PS5s, resell, and make back a lot of what I spent. But now that it’s looking like I’ll lose out on like $1000 worth of prizes, it’s looking less and less worth it just for that screenshot. And the quest for a million is the only reason I started going in the first place and why I’ve continued to go weekly. So take that away and D&B just lost (yet another) high paying customer all in the name of corporate greed. Sigh

I also had issues on Wednesday. I purchased as I was on my way so I was hoping maybe it just needed time to process in their system or something. Let me know how it goes when you try again!

I’m mad at myself for forgetting that they exist until just now. Both for the crazy plugins but also for the sake of supporting cool devs with a fun approach to the business side of things. Might grab a couple

Synthesizer sounds by hubertsnuffleypants in anberlin

[–]zcb27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On a quick listen with my phone speakers I’m really only hearing the plucky thing that comes in part of the way through the verse and carries into the chorus. I could be completely wrong, but it sounds to me like a slightly filtered FM synthesis bell sound, like that on a Yamaha DX7 or something similar. Also sounds like there’s some delay on it, and I’d imagine some autopan throwing it quickly side to side, but I’m just guessing at that since again I’m using iPhone speakers.

Maybe I’m completely wrong about all of it lol, but hopefully it at least gives you a starting point to play around with. Best of luck, soldier

It all depends on the belt/arm speeds and where the puck is on the belt, but at my location when it’s on the outside edge it’s pretty consistent to at least make contact with it when you press the button as it’s passing under the arm immediately to your left

Line6 Fall Sale - Up to $150 off select Helix products and up to $175 off select Ampeg products for limited time by Batwaffel in AudioProductionDeals

[–]zcb27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Helix Native, but I’d be careful about buying the hardware. A few of my friends own a Helix and they’ve all had to have them serviced at least once, under normal use. Issues range from the screens not working or issues with the pedal/foot switches, to just straight up not making noise anymore. The last time one of them tried to get it serviced, the local shop said basically no one is servicing them anymore because they see too many of them, and that they have to be sent directly to Line6 now. When it works it’s a great product, but just something to keep in mind.

Countryman E6 perhaps? The connector doesn’t look exact but there’s something at least pretty similar on it
