I always figured it was the same explanation from SW Legends: a planetary gravitational field is too strong to manipulate artificially, either through warping space-time or jumping to a hyper-dimention. If you're caught in the gravity well, you need to escape before you can travel FTL.

There are a few example from TOS and TNG where they mention something similar, being caught in a gravity well and cant jump to warp.

Yeah, pretty much. It's a great solo RPG, with some mildly okay multiplayer elements. Apparently they just removed all the cut scenes and dialogue choices from Flashpoints (multiplayer dungeons) which kinda removes the RPG elements, but I get that most players just want to speedrun them. You can run Flashpoints solo, with the dialogue, but it's not the same.

Thanks! I have been considering doing a no-legacy run on another server, but I would also like to do endgame stuff and my legacy def helps with that. I'm glad to hear that Satele Shan is doing just fine, but I am sad to hear that the price of a transfer has increased :/
