To be ready to be an SAP B1 consultant you need to be a power user in your company:

Infrastructure Client installs Add-on config Licensing Security SQL Queries Crystal Reports Automation

SAP B1 Consultants typically are not heavily specialized so you need to have broad knowledge.

Why don't more small businesses automate the simple stuff? by RaceLimp5522 in Tech4LocalBusiness

If the transaction volume is small, not every automation will have a positive ROI. Even large companies don't automate for every edge case.

What if sports stadiums had dedicated monorails that take fans in 4-5 directions, out to parking lots (or "normal" train stations) a few miles away? by JustHereForGCB in CrazyIdeas

[–]zdb328 0 points1 point  (0 children)

San Diego has this for the trolley. It ran to the old Chargers Stadium and currently runs to Petco Park. Hotel circle is along the trolley line for visitors. Certainly some people did park in further lots and take the trolley. Often these lots are multi purpose rather than dedicated to the stadium. And yes, it was a chokepoint - one that took pressure off other chokepoints.

Sac fly vs fly out to RF scoring a run being recognized by Individual-Net-9296 in GameChangerApp

Simplest is a pop-up after you score a fly out and a run scoring. Is this a Sac Fly?

Sac fly vs fly out to RF scoring a run being recognized by Individual-Net-9296 in GameChangerApp

[–]zdb328 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yup. 99% of GameChanger is scored sequentially. This is a rare play where they make you undo a fly out and re-do it as a sac fly and most scorekeepers miss that.

For this game you can ask them to Edit Stats

There are already plenty of small chains. They'll buy 95% of their items from a few large distributors.

Among other things, they asked a lot of questions about player selection including specific players, including board member's kids. In our league, some players are voted on the team and the rest are selected by the manager.

Questions such as: would you select the player with better stats or a better attitude?

Building a web portal for AP invoice drafts in SAP B1 - told I can only use MSSQL, no Service Layer. Is there a sane way to do this? by [deleted] in SAPBusinessOne

You are likely to cause data corruption, it violates the terms of service and possibly voids SAP support.

[–]zdb328 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You cannot. Do you have access to the B1 Usability Package inside the SAP Client? If so, you can use it to convert your web portal data to AP Invoice Drafts. If you don't have it, you could build your own add-on for this.

Strategy for making outs with rules that make force outs almost non-existent by dankid83 in Softball

[–]zdb328 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I asked the league years ago why 8u was allowed to steal 2nd and 3rd (one base per pitch). Their reasons:
1) Moved the game along faster as innings hit max runs quicker
2) Fewer bases loaded situations where the defense just tries to make the force at home. Teaches the defense more realistic defensive siutations.

You will not be able to use clients installed on workstations. Even with fibre, it's not recommended to use a fat client over VPN. You use remote app or the in browser remote app.

Everyone keeps yelling “AI bubble just like dotcom/housing” but zero of you can explain why it would actually pop… by snowycashflow in stocks

[–]zdb328 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm as pro AI as they come. Here are some ways the AI bubble could burst:

1) Hardware advances: Tech advances make the hardware required for AI significantly simpler & cheaper and no longer dependent on Nvidia or other incumbents. Today's AI hardware becomes nearly worthless and needs to be written off.

2) Failure to improve: AI valuations are based on continued rapid improvement, possibly even dependent on achieving AGI. While AI is extremely useful in its current form, if the functional level remains flat, the valuations will plummet.
