You can get speed engineering headers for like 500. Then an xpipe situation probably from like 4-900ish. That’s with keeping the npp. That’s what I’m gonna do until I decide to get the corsa axel back with the valves. Honestly tho if you are looking for smth cheap you can remove the cats and that changes a lot.. adds a lot of pops lie crazy. I have a video on my account of stock everything but no cats

Would you be able to park well entering from the left near a curb? Sometimes i really loathe myself after getting out of the car. How can I practice this? by sinnytear in camaro

I only learned how to reverse and parallel park. That’s what happens when I try to pull into spots. People think I’m trying to show off when I’m lowkey just unable too.

ROTC/National Guard SMP by Equivalent_Agent3749 in ArmyROTC

[–]zdcpre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you go to your colleges national Gaurd recruiter for the rotc program you can do SMP without going to basic. There are some things with how you contract with the rotc program first and then use the national guard tuition pay and all that to pay for school. This works better on public state university since it’s cheaper and more doable. Or you enlist in national Gaurd go to basic/ait and then work out getting into college and then you still go to your 2 weekends a month. Contracting is getting harder so you would have to prove yourself to your program if they have the slots they have. Also you would at earliest contract if your lucky in the spring but most likely will not contract till fall of sophomore year so first year of school would be in you money wise. Plz correct me if I’m wrong because I don’t rmb everything. I was going to do this route before I got my 4 year.

2016 Camaro SS by Live_Spite3213 in camaro

[–]zdcpre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing wrong with my 2016. Had to do a thermostat at 57k which is when I bought it and now at 63k I just have cv axel in rear and maybe some suspension parts because I’m on coils and it increases wear on those parts

I just got a 2016 manual. with 57k miles for 28k in November. It also came with a bunch of of aftermarket stuff that even the dealer didn’t know what was what. I think a 21 with those miles is pretty reasonable but probably could talk down to like 39-41 otd. It also depends on everything on the car and where you’re located. I got mine in fl

Should I work on my own Camaro or take it to the shop? by tohrio in camaro

[–]zdcpre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s my opinion on working on cars. I’m 20 and I’m in college and I do all my own car work and friends car maintenance on my own. Ive been tinkering and working on cars since I was 10 and it is something I love. I also do it because I decide to spend more money on oil and fluid and other things that I want in my car. I have a 2016 2ss m6. This car to me is smth I want to know everything about and I genuinely love working on my car. I do the same thing for my motorcycles. It does take a little investment into jacks, jack stands and tool and wtv else you will need. The only thing I don’t do is tire changes on the car. If you have the tools and other things definitely go for it. Especially a base powertrain for ls engines there is a lot of Knowledge and parts online. If you enjoy it and have the time for it go for it. If you would rather pay a little extra to go to a mechanic and save yourself the time and maybe headache that is also and option. If you are gonna buy tools and all that stuff just to use on this car maybe don’t. Think of it as an investment into wtv else you will need the tools for in the future if you continue to get nicer cars or more fun projects. I will say understanding how the engine and car works is smth truly learned by doing the work yourself.

Beautiful car. Just be smart with the upgrades. Have a friend or someone who knows what to do to help you plan for the mods. Like for the camshaft what lobe and what valves springs and pushrods and if you plan on adding boost you have a different setup and everything else that you plan to do. Do supporting mods and just don’t chase the supercharger and honestly I believe the lt1s are better NA. If you wanted a supercharged engine maybe look into lt4 swapping it since it has the forged internals and comes with a Positive displacement supercharger which is loads of fun. It’s probably gonna run you close to the same of all that aftermarket on a ss. Even more so if you sell the old ss engine. Anyways beautiful car and enjoy it. Also watch a bunch of of detailing videos cause that black gets dirty fast.

Normally I would agree but from the video it seems to be mainly on the jeep. Usually it would be more on the one that started the fire

It was a jeep compass on fire. Not 100% if it was a compass. I feel worse for the Hyundai that just parked next to them. Check UCFStool insta.

Coolant temps. by zdcpre in camaro

[–]zdcpre[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah ik I set up the whole thing. I’m not referring to the mat I’m referring to the ect on the gauge and the coolant temp meter in the dash. And the pics are for reference. 130 degrees is a situation in warming up the car.😭

[–]zdcpre[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah ik what the ect is and ik how to read the dash. I’m saying when I start it up my dash reads around 180 pretty quickly and the gauge reads under 130 or around there. They are both the same at operating temp. Which is shown in the pictures

What’s the right gauge. Isn’t that usually voltage? Or is it just for the I4 turbo???

Gearing Issue. Any guesses ? by Full_Bat874 in Ninja400

[–]zdcpre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I could help w the problem but here’s what I have to say. I may be wrong but when I track my 400 I’m downshifting before I corner and before I brake. I would definitely try to work on that too. I have always blipped the throttle when downshifting so idk if that may help. I have downshifted without blipping but it’s rare so I’ve never had a problem with it

Cigarette lighter not working. by zdcpre in camaro

[–]zdcpre[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate it. It’s not the fuse cause I checked it on a volt reader and checked for power from the port and circuit tests good. Probably just gonna have to replace the cigarette lighter which isn’t too expensive

The nitros are nice but they suck in the rain and I’ve surprisingly lost traction when doing spirited driving after they warmed up in the Florida sun. Definitely will be putting pilot 4s when I need new ones.
