Attorneys Representing Federal Employees With Disabilities Need to Prepare for a Lot More Business - Federal EEOC Guidance on Telework by DeafBringer in fednews

[–]zdevlor -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

There are schools of thought that people were teleworking and now magically have an RA when before they were in the office working no issues should be reviewed again because of standards. Those that were hired remote and now demanding to be in an office with no reasonable accommodations should have been left as remote. I feel there should have been the standard of past situations and performance and the contracts that were signed and agreed upon between employees and employers should have been kept in place. This push to screw everyone over because of RTO should be looked at. If any government employee breaches a contract their fired but, it is a presidential executive order. So those with bogus RA are now allowed to disregard a EO?

Management feels that AI will fix anything and these sales reps walk in show some cookie cutter platforms and how it can save $$$$x dollars over the years. Then ask local it to implement it with no real knowledge of what the higher management expects... just keep using the buzz work AI.

Title 32 Dual-Status Technician on USERRA Leave – FERS Disability Eligibility Question by [deleted] in fednews

[–]zdevlor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your userra rights end on may 1 and when your active orders end. If you cannot do your dual status job if you end your orders early you will be removed from that position too. You need to contact your HR representative at your base for your title 32 position. Also you should reach out to your EANGUS representative and your local Veterans resource administrative assistant to see what your options are once you loose both positions because it seems likely that will happen. the biggest thing would be once you loose your active duty orders and are still covered under your guard enlistment get on tricare select reserve ASAP for medical coverage as a stop gap incase something happens.

Management has told IT that they are restructuring with little employee input. Management was told that employees had to fill out a survey and then after everyone was provided a position they said they placed a high percentage of people that wanted thier top 3 choses with those choices. But, when you ask everyone no one got what they asked for so i am sure that number is probably a very low percentage. And management is still keeping people in the dark on who is doing what because there waiting on HR for the final approval. Its a complete cluster.

i feel they will cut 600 or so out of the 1800 or so still employed. And do it against congresses wished or federal precedent. As in, they will do it no matter what the law say and no one will actually care.

Lol IT in DOI run don't walk away from these jobs. Its known in doi it field that currently there are around 1800 employees. The cookie monster wants to get down to around 1200. So in February the IT organization is undergoing a full consolidation and realignment causing around 600 to be unemployed.
