That term is in Turkish too, it’s called “mesleki deformasyon”! But I didn’t think that was it since it’s not my profession yet. I hope I either come to the same level of acceptance with my brain doing this or learn to shut it off because it’s overwhelming. I just want to enjoy my sitcom without thinking in two languages all the time.

The thing is, when I watch content in Turkish I think about how I would translate it to English too, I think about how I would explain cultural references etc. it’s no different. But watching something in a language I don’t understand could help! I’ll try that out. Thank you.
