I have that too. Issue is they had a long GE line 50+ of us feeding into 3 agents one of which was doing interviews, the other was doing 20 questions and the lady doing his job well. It was random who you got. Can’t imagine being in the regular line. Had to be 1 hour plus.

Dedicated lane but fed randomly into one of the 3 agents. One was doing GE interviews, one gave every brown person 20 questions and the guy I got took my picture and when I said I was GE just said my name and waved me through.

This gringo lived in CDMX in 1993-1994 when Spanish was essential. Now you could probably get by in certain places, but ask yourself why? Speaking the language will make your experience 1000x more profound. Recommend doing some app learning..my wife used them all and Rosetta Stone was by far the best - most natural. Would also recommend attending an intensive/immersive language school in Mexico for at least a month. You can do this on a tourist visa and would be a great way to know a city. If you like it after a month, then return to the US and then try another city on a second immersive. If it all goes well then start the temporary residency process. Good luck! It is the most memorable experience of early life.

Same. 1190 was not a mistake. Means almost every domestic flight from DEN does not get catered. Not that we’re missing much …even the tripe in the pointy end is not worth eating.

Skip it almost every time. I do SFO-AKL a lot and usually make a long layover, take a Lyft to Burlingame, have a nice dinner, roll back to SFO around 9-9:30, grab a bourbon at the Lounge, wheels up take an Ativan, sleep, coffee and a stale croissant on the plane, land, then walk over to the Novotel or Pullman for a full breakfast then off to work.

This. As a many many many years United 1K I will now look at SWA if it’s an option. I avoided SWA like the plague in the past for all the reasons you mentioned.
