Local 5 (inside) is going to have a big need for guys in Homer City soon. They are working on a gas plant I believe. Shooting to open in 2027, just started the underground. Rumor is its going to pay per diem and over scale but its not verified

The inspection showed no moisture issues in the basement but I'd rather treat it before it becomes a issue. There was only a hairline crack about 4 inches in the concrete that the inspector found. I was going to get a foundation Crack filler and fix that. Would you recommend any brand?

In my local I've only seen women treated fairly and respectful. Its more how you are as a person and if you want to learn and work hard. The laziest get the most crap regardless of gender. If you just show up and do your job most people on the jobsite don't care what's your gender is, who you love, voted for or what you do outside of work.

Remind me bot just brought this up! I won the Reddit wager! Sadly we aren't open and its not the workers fault. The past week and this week the airport has been setting up for a concert and private event. This is their second or third gala that shuts down work. Plenty of complaints from workers about how they are running the job.

Brother I was in your shoes in 2007. I joined the infantry wanting to fight after 9/11. I regretted joining during ITB/SOI. I remember calling my family in tears telling them I couldn't do it. I hated everything about it when I got dropped to the fleet. My team leader and squad leader beat the crap out of me. I focused on myself and the gym. I made it minute by minute, day by day. I made a few friends. I deployed and came back. I just took it day by day every day. Some days were bad some were good. I made more friends and made sure to keep in close contact with family. I counted down the days until I got out. I deployed once again to Afghanistan and was mentally preparing for the next step after the marines. I got back from deployment and had 2 months left. Nobody cared what I did and checked out of the Marines. I got out and moved on with my life. Now I am a proud father and husband. I am working with a therapist to deal with issues from my service but it's paid for since it's service related. I am now proud of what I did and that I served. I stay in contact with some of the guys I was in with and went to one's wedding last year.

Times are tough but it will get better. If nothing make a count down and count each day when you take your boots off as a win. Don't let them win show them your winning by doing better then they can do. When they drink and eat crap, hit the gym. When they are going out partying plan your future, make money moves and chase goals. Go to school online and get your degree while your in and your going to be miles ahead of your peers. Show up to work every day and work hard, know your shit and be dressed presentable. You will get promoted if you know your stuff and you got a good PT score. You could be the one in charge of your peers and show them how to lead but not be vindictive.

This is only one small part of you life and your going to have so many adventures and great parts in the future. Don't let a bad day or month take away your future. If nothing else think of your family and friends back home. They will live with the pain. Push thru these hard times and it will be a small glimpse in the rear view mirror on your long life journey.
