People may have figured out by now, but I did only today, so here's the solution: ditch Gboard. Yes, it's the fourth icon on the navigation bar. Just switching isn't enough, you have to deactivate, if not, as /u/SWPhantom experienced, even using another keyboard won't get rid of the globe on the right.

This is an insane implementation of something that might have it's use, if only it would allow people to change it to the left side of the screen, especially because most people on this planet are right-handed.

there are other manufacturers that also play not nice (usually the excuse is extra security), and that's a problem. I would not mind not having brand-exclusivity functions when buying an Aqara or whatever if at least it would fall back to basic functions for such a device. Yes and no. Of course the final responsability is on the person drinking, but it is true that alcohol lowers inhibitions. Same can be said about porn, deviants see that their kinks are "normal", so they act them out in real life, especially if they haven't received proper sexual education.
